Bored to snores earlier this morning, I trundled through the New York Times. I found this little article about CV19 and partisan politics in the backwoods of Wisconsin. Different State but it reminded me of Sth Dakota.

It is solid Trump/Hearst territory.

Unbelievably the local Republican State rep runs a boozy restaurant with lots of stuffed animal heads adorning the walls. His surname is Swearingen. Yes, slightly different spelling but I loved it. He is anti mask.

His Dem opponent is a bit of a Seth Bullock character who has left being a sheriff aka IT consultant and runs a micro brewery. He is very pro mask.
