Another one of the famous "top 5" in the deledio draft who has failed. 1 out of 5...... abysmal recruiting.

Cut him loose. Poor for coburg on the weekend. Too slow. Bad disposal. Not damaging in any area.

Played almost every game last year and was top 10 best and fairest. Just seems others have overtaken him.
perhaps i may of used the wrong words ! i actually meant that wallace didnt really like him a great deal & didnt get a consistan run like some others.

Someone here once said that they rate him highly at St.Kilda and they (Saints) couldn't understand why Wallace never picked him. I hope that was true and still is...we might get lucky and get something for the hack...
That was me Mario i had an hour long conversation with Ross Lyon and Sos one night in their pub and Ross asked about Dean Polo, " why isn't he playing midfield" this was pre season last year a few ales got drank and i freaked out eventually that i was talking football and tactics to a senior AFL coach.
Lol:eek:

Long rumoured to have attitude issues but IMO has some footballing ability as well.

His problem is that he does not bring anything unique to the table... not quick, not a massive tank, not an elite kick etc...
Having said that though, if he were to play at the peak of his powers consistently he is good enough to be on an AFL list as a 'fringe' player ranked somewhere between say 18 and 25.

Problem for Polo is that he has wasted the past year or so just cruising instead of establishing himself in the squad... our youngsters like Collins, Edwards & this year Nason have sailed past him.

Personally I reckon he will be cut by the Tigers this year and either gain us a 4th round pick or will get pre-seasoned by someone as a depth type player.

Will get another 20 AFL games somewhere... just...

Spot On. His type are ten-a-penny in the league - good ordinary players. All sides have them. The trouble is, we are still trying to find 'special' players, so we will turn over the good ordinaries in the search. When we have our base side settled, we shall start worrying about gap-fillers, depth etc - that's where players like Polo come in.

He could probably get on any list in the AFL atm. And get a few games. He should have benn a pick #60.

I don't think Marco will play another 20 games for Richmond but I hope he can have a good career elsewhere. I'm a fan but I don't think more knowledgeable folk (like Dimma) are.

Have strong mail he will play this week after the job he did on Goodes in Round 3.
We are halfway there...he has been inlcuded in the "ins".

My mail was pretty strong that the match committee were very happy with his game on Goodes last time and that he will play regardless of his form.
