yeah I thought he could play a bit, has gone backwards though and there are plenty ahead of him...Rance for example will be given plenty more chances than Dean Polo

Rance should be played in every game for the rest of the year. Still not sold on him, but he has a crack and had to play in defence today, which would have been frightening for anyone with the ball coming in so quickly and so often.

I'm pissed off actually because a couple of year ago I thought Terry cruelled him with his treatment but perhaps that was one call he was getting right.

I thought he had a chance to become an inside, run with mid type (a couple of seasons ago) but has hardly played there since... again on Saturday he was forward, he was back.

If he is not playing in tight he is just a liability unfortunately.

mcmahon,polak,polo,tuck,tambling,moore,mguanne,hislop,thomson,nahas,king,thursty,rance all on the table if we can secure pick 3 somehow & throw in our 2nd pick aswell.

could you imagine if we got sam day & atley this year !
 
Was top 10 best and fairest last season, played most games. I wonder what's changed this season.

Yeah my word, Scott Clayton and Guy McKenna would be salivating at the thought of getting McMahon, Polak, Hislop, Thomson, Moore, McGuane, Nahas or Polo.

Only very few on that list could get us something. And they would probably be the 4 tall backmen you named. Maybe Tambo and Tuck too if someone wants them.
 
I'd give Polo another couple of games. Don't underestimate how tough it is to come up from VFL where you've been languishing for 10 weeks to play the top AFL team. Huge adjustment in terms of intensity, crowd/atmosphere etc. Little support from team-mates - key players like Newman, Lids and Connors had shockers. Even if all it does is add to his trade value it will have served a purpose. To those who say he doesn't try, I can think of many occasions (incl earlier this year) where he has fearlessly backed into packs to take marks - hasn't done it for a while tho cos has been playing at Coburg.

polo's a player. i honestly believe he's being played out of position and therefore struggling to make an impact.. would be a shame to see him go without fulfilling his potential, only for greater opportunities to appear elsewhere and allow him to 'expand' as a player

He has had 5.5 years and has played everywhere bar the ruck and as a KPP.
He is simply just a VFL level player

Polo has been there long enough and failed. He has played in alot of positions and failed again. WE Dont keep players based on potential either. He would be one of the first i show the door
