Every team that has won a Premiership has played finals beforehand.
Some, (like Eagles) lost a Grand Final first.
We made the finals out of the blue and nearly pinched it.
We were beaten by a better, more battle hardened team.
Be very proud, our team was brave today.

They are hurting like us, but that will drive them on, l have belief in this team. We still need some pieces, but they will win it.

Was Great Effort Really to make the Grand Final and Almost Win with how badly our Team was hit with Injuries.

Hopefully this Motive the Boys to have Huge Pre-Season and hit the Season Flying and Make Up for this

I’ve never loved a Collingwood side like I love this side, and I’m just so proud of them. 2018 is the year that makes me realise you really can absolutely succeed without the ultimate success - this side just has so much heart and I will cherish the memories they’ve given us for a long time. Well done boys, you did us proud today.

Still upset, still gutted, still numb.

But we had an amazing year that I think has won the hearts and minds of so many. It didn't end the way we wanted it to, but this has been the most courageous Collingwood team I have had the privilege to watch in a long time. I don't know if or when success will come, but I am grateful to have been part of a wonderful journey.

Side By Side in 2019 and forever.

Outclassed in the end.
Cox/Mihocek v Kennedy/Darling sums it up.
A stunning job to reach the GF considering the cattle that we had to play with.
Disappointed, yet proud.

Yep. Daylight Difference and that why we should be looking pretty much for KPP as we have Real Lack of them

The gut-wrenching thing is that it should’ve been Darcy. Yet, it hasn’t happened and probably never will. He looks like a perfect CHF who would really scramble a lot of opposition defences. Unfortunately I don’t think he’s selfless or tough enough. I definitely don’t see him as a key back who’s willing to put his body on the line...
flipping absolutely spewing....
(Our only chance is that he re-signs and hits puberty over the preseason)...

Thanks Pies, you gave it your all, and frankly had no business being in a GF given the personnel issues we faced all year.

Take time away to remind yourself of the things in life which are bigger than footy, then come back for a shot at redemption in 2019.

Yep, I love this team with all my heart, and I'm proud.

Not going to criticize any player today because that would be a really shit thing to do after the year we've had.

Bad luck today Pies, but don’t dwell on it too much.
Bottle it up go home to your families and then come back and build on it in 2019.

Love the way they never give in.
Had some rookie errors today, however what a finals series and puts us in good stead moving forward.

Pushed the premier twice, beat the defending champ and the AFL super team.

Not bad for a makeshift team half of the year!

Excuse the intrusion guys, and I hope you don’t mind me dropping in, but I wanted to say thank you to Collingwood as well.

I just want to say kudos again to all the Pies fans that have come in and given us your well wishes. We know what it’s like to have your hearts broken on the big stage, and you should be incredibly proud of today and your whole season. You never gave in all season and that includes today.

Kudos also to Buckley for the way he conducted himself today, consoling the banner holders when it didn’t work the way they wanted to, and your runner who was just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Keep your chins up because the future looks incredibly rosy for you if you keep playing like you did today. All the best for the future.

Cheers :)

Great thread.

I couldn’t believe we made it. And for most of the game we could almost believe....

That’s football though

No surprise Mitchell is their midfield coach. Bloke always tore us up
