Dear Joffa...

When you penned that heartfelt and overly emotional farewell, you stated that you were leaving because people were getting personal and that no one was saying anything worthwhile anymore.

You vowed never to return.

But now you have returned, and thanked Bluey for 'taking out the trash' so to speak.

Fact is, the trash still remains. Those people still return under different alias's.

But in my own opinion, you are the kind of trash that is ruining Bigfooty. You are said to be passionate, your posts are said to be as 'just having some fun'. All I find your posts to be are jokes and stupid comments based on a belief that you can get away with saying anything because "you're Joffa, and he is passionate."

I wasn't here before you left, but I came just as you wrote your goodbye post. There seemed a big deal made out of it, with some saying goodbye with a heavy heart, while others said goodbye and good riddance.

I tend to agree with the latter.

Since your return, all I have seen is abuse, and just plain stupid comments on other people's teams.

I understand you are a Maggie, but for gods sake, get some perspective. If you want to only rant on about Collingwood, there is a Collingwood thread; Don't bring that kinda crap here.

I know I am going to be lamb-basted and chastized for what i have just said, but the point is, Joff is no better then FJD, or The Abuser, or whoever...

I agree with what Hitman but it's the nature of this board.

This forum is more of personality issues than it is of football issues.

I don't know Joffa personally but we kind of indirectly chat on Nicks Collingwood site. He seems to bring up personal issues in his posts towards me rather than address the main points of my arguments.

This is the fault of this forum, and other forums. People take things too much to heart and as a consequence the topics are about certain members of this site, rather than football issues

I don't really know the case of FJD. From what I have picked this guy has been personally harassing/stalking Joffa that is way over the top.

I was a victim of this because I tried to contact Joffa through his site in good faith but Alf Andrews sent me an abusing e-mail. This example proves that people are taking things that happen here too serious.

I would like to think the Bigfooty culture was more based around the likes of DCFC, Grendel, Dan25 (Bloody Bomber, but he knows his stuff...), Macca, Mr. Ripper...etc etc.

You were a victim of mistaken identity ... as I later explained to you in an email. Quite simply, I thought you were FJD and treated you accordingly.

I agree hitman. Which is not to say FJD was not worse, he was much worse, and maybe a bit more intelligent which makes him even worse.
But I think unless it gets really personal it's better just to ignore the baiting and trolling threads and keep adding to the standard of debate and discussion, which you do very well (Hitman's pocket overflows with pi ss)

I met him, i told him some of his postings were great (which they can be) i also asked him why he bothered with the

Cant recall him giving me any other explanation than it was just in fun. His perspective of fun is obviously different to mine and others.

Saying that, id still have a drink with him as he seems a decent enough bloke in real life (probably like most people here are decent enough in real life). Just his manner on the boards can grate at times.
