What have the SinCity Swamprats done to offend you so?
0-8 to start Season 24, we suffered the ignominy stoically. Anchored to the foot of the ladder from round 5, we kept our collective chins up and continued to batter with banter the teams on whom you smiled so serenely, all on the vague understanding that Qooty is a 50/50 game and it will all balance out over time. We suffered the tragic loss of a team-mate, and the embarrassment of the club's worst ever season as we collected the wooden spoon. And not once did we complain that the sim was rigged, that the administration of the league was corrupt or accuse the simmers of malice towards us.
We lost players for S25, as all teams do. We gained some, too, with the hope that the misfortune that we encountered last season would be reversed. And look at us now - round 5; once again stone motherless last with only one win to show for our endeavours. The old saying is, the harder you work the luckier you get. Well, we're not getting any luckier! We're still the #1 posting team in the league; still undefeated in a match thread since the Three Wise Men began their trek to Sweet.
What more do you want from us? We have sacrificed goats, camels, pigs, sheep, pigeons. We have offered the hymen of 5 rookies upon the altar of your favours. Will it take the sacrifice of philreich to appease you?
