Lets do a little test
As a parent, (those who are not parents yet, just make believe you are a parent) what would you do if you caught a person who had kidnapped your child, interferred with them, and murdered them?
I know what I'd do, I would literally rip them apart, and burn the remains.
Now I'm of the opinion that MOST parents would have a like answer, if I'm right, why should we treat a crim who did not affect us personally, any different from the crim who did so much wrong to your family?
Death penaltities aint a deterrant, it doesn't solve societies ills, but it does very effectively stops a criminal from ever re-offending.

I believe ivan milat should cop what he did to his victims, ie chopped at the spinal cord so he was unable to walk then let Bubba from block h have his way with him, as milat did to his victims, then buried alive as good old unlce ivan did to his victims.

Has anyone read "Davo's Little Something" by Robert G Barrett?
I thought the technique used there was good - he crippled, blinded, deafened, and ripped out the tongue of the crim.
I agree with capital punishment where there is no doubt as to who did it (introduce a new class of verdict if need be). (0% reoffender rate)
I would also like to see us copy Scottish law and have a verdict of "Not Proven", which allows a case to be reopened when new evidence comes up that shows someone who has been released is actually guilty.
Finally I'd like to go the European route of judges and magistrates who don't just sit there, but get involved with questioning - so getting at the truth is more important than smart-a s s barristers scoring points and getting guilty people off because of procedural c r a p.
