As it currently stands:

  • Pick 19, 19, & 40, for Pick 14...
  • OR 2325 points, for 1161 points...
  • OR the equivalent of Pick 2-3ish, for Pick 14..
  • OR we manufactured 1164 points out of thin air (equivalent to Pick 14)

Take your... pick.

(also not to mention the 2018 Pick 19 helped us secure Neale)

Update:

Picks 19, 19, & 43 ... for Pick 17. 😳

Pretty good that we are now directly contributing to Collingwoods pick being higher than they might have anticipated by sitting above them on the ladder. may this continue to seasons end!

A successful night for the death-ride thus far - pies out of the 4.

And should GWS win, and Essendon win big, they may fall as far as 7th 👍

Be just sooooo very sad if they were to miss finals ... and maybe Buckley to Carlton just for fun ;)

Valleys. Chelsea.
Magpies run home after tonight-

v Suns, MCG.
v Demons, MCG.
v Crows, AO.
v Bombers, MCG.

In this sort of form the only one you would call a certain win for the Pies would the Suns.

Essendon play the Suns this arvie , and are sitting 1 win and 4.8% behind the Pies.
Very easy to see the Collywobbles wobble down to seventh.
Then again I don't want Essendon getting 4 more points , what a dilemma .
Death ride and all , still would like the Suns to win , keep the Bombers off our tails and be great for the Suns supporters .
A close game either way would be acceptable.

I would so dearly love for the Suns to get a win today!
If not for me? Then, for their organisation as a whole.

Would be great for them to get one on the board so there's less pressure for them to play their grand final against us in 2 weeks!

In terms of the death-ride; yes, Collingwood can slip to 7th today. But either way I think it's likely that they and Essendon end up occupying 6th & 7th on the ladder, so it may not have any impact whatsoever on our draft pick (as they could still very well get bundled out first week).

De Goey out now with a hamstring injury. That's what, 18 players on the sideline... how much more depth has that club got?
Quaynor too. Not sure if any are scheduled back this week.

Feel like we've nailed the Trifecta here.

Just reinforces that clubs should be careful when trading future picks with Universe Boss Nobes.

He casts some dark magic I'm sure of it.
