Understand and respect your request DABM and will do so moving forward... I’ve since discovered that if you remove their name and the numbers from the first part of the quote it then doesn’t show them as the OP of the comment and apparently doesn’t notify them.. so will do this from now on.

but geez.. there are some delicate little flowers on
The fun part is leave the numbers and change the name to whatever you like and it will still notify them.

I think it's fair enough that other boards shouldn't be quoted with the author alerted onto other boards as it's needlessly provocative -

The site has become a hive for baiting and partisan bullshit which is a real shame
I understand that.. but someone over on the Melbourne thread was carrying on about Lever not being any good one on one and I simply bought the comment across to our thread and pointed out that it’s something that’s pretty well known about Lever... and if anyone had watched the crows and Lever play in recent years you’d know it!... and I also pointed out that they didn’t even want crows supporters over on their thread “liking” comments from their own supporters who were sticking it to Lever.. geez, I mean, come on.. man up ya sooks!..

I only found and joined Bigfooty last October after stumbling across it looking for more info on the draft hopefuls for 2017.. and I’ve gotta say.. as far as I’ve seen in my short time here.. the crows thread allows opposition supporters to come over and blab their mouths off more that most other team threads.. geez, some of the Richmond supporters were in our threads last week sticking it to us in the lead up to the game on Thursday night... then as soon as Richmond lost you go over to their threads and they’d “shut up shop” so to speak.. couldn’t comment on any of them...

Can dish it out but can’t take it it seems... precious petals.

I’ll be the first to admit I can be a bit antagonistic at times but I can accept it in return..

If anybody really has an issue with this they can always change their alert preferences. There is also an option to ignore anybody you find irritating.

The Adelaide BF board has always been way more open to oppo supporters than other boards are to us.

I pointed it out on their forum back when the trade had just happened and was basically told I wasn't welcome anymore by one of their mods.

Yet now they pretend like the Crows supporters had no idea.

I'm not in the habit of perusing opposition boards, but given some of the amusing posts other Adelaide board posters have brought back from the Melbourne board I decided to have a peek over yonder for myself.

Apparently, one poster believes the reason Lever struggles in one-on-one contests is because our club neglected to develop that aspect of his game. As ridiculous as it may sound someone actually believes an AFL club wouldn't bother developing one of their tall defender's ability to defend against their own opponent, all because we were satisfied with him being an intercepting third tall. But not just any AFL club, we're talking about the club that has developed for over a decade multiple All Australian caliber key defenders like Talia, Rutten and Bock.

So just you wait, now that Lever is at a club noted for their player development, he's going improve in leaps and bounds in this regard.

If we failed to develop him why did they pay like we had?

I doubt the thoughts of this poster and those of his club are in alignment. More a case of a fan hoping for a justification for Lever's weakness in one-on-one ability that doesn't prevent him from drastically improving in the future. Better to blame to his previous club than just admit it's not his forte.

Adelaide, Norwood,

Currently at Pick 12
Lever looks about 12 in that pic. One thing I would have expected with another preseason would be for Jake to bulk up a bit more. He looks skinnier than when he played with us.

Not great prep for someone you want to play as a key defender.

Wait, wait, wait, why are the same people who were saying Hamish was God and the pick swap with Geelong was amazing, and Cockatoo is useless now saying Lever is a dud?

Because it was Hamish's plan all along to turn the #14 pick into two first round picks four years later!

The pick swap was amazing; Lever was highly prized, but we found he had a lower ceiling, so we swapped him for more than he was worth.

Lever is a dud now, exposed for his inability to defend one-on-one. He's just someone else's dud.

First rounders should be spent on midfielders, unless there's exception forward or ruck talent.

Key position backmen, meh. Really good ones are useful, but they're not what you spend the big bucks on (picks higher than 10)

Look at our backline

Talia - 14
Hartigan - 14 in rookie draft
Laird - 5 in rookie draft
Brown - 16
Doedee - 17
Smith - 14
Kelly - 40 in rookie draft
Lever - 14

Okay, so we're either paying a late first round draft pick (usually, pick 14!) or rookieing them.

The trouble with your analysis is you can do that for all the positions on the ground, because the Crows only have one top 10 player on our list (Gibbs).

It will be interesting to see how many teams try to isolate Jakey in their forward lines. I'm tipping most will try it on. This could become quite horrible for Melbourne. Love to see him dropped to the 2s to work on deficiencies. Won't happen because of the amount paid and the salary.

I'd like to watch that :D
I’d like to watch Fogarty, when Lever takes an intercept mark, do to Lever what he did to caddy the other night...

It was late, it was grubby, it deserved a 50m penalty paid against it... but geez I f*ckin loved it!!..

And it rattled the tigers players. They weren’t happy about it at all!.. where Fogarty was definately would’ve been in the backs of some of the tigers players minds when taking a mark after that little incident..

Hey, it was a great analysis until you introduced facts and logic and reasoning!

You're right, that's true. If i had the inclination i'd try it on a team like Melbourne to see where they'd spent all their draft picks... but it's Melbourne, so i don't care.
