I'm pretty relaxed about death, as long as it's not mine.

Was obsessed with it for a period in my mid teens after nearly losing the old man and then losing a dog.

These days I try not to think much about it, brings up a lot of painful memories of death that I've experienced since I got out of nappies. I'm always more worried about wasting my life doing nothing meaningful and ending up sitting on a bed dying full of regret.

As for after life etc no idea. Would like to think there is something afterwards, but I'm cynical about it.

Some comfort and peace of mind if they believe in it I guess.

I got fairly close to death about a year and a half ago. It doesn't scare me too much. I'd hate to leave my young kids without their father. I'd like to at least make it to 70 or so.

Yeah, my wife sometimes goes to see a medium who helps her connect with her deceased dad. I don't believe in it at all, but she does and she comes away from each session beaming with happiness. Whether the medium is full of shit or not is beside the point really, given the feelings and emotions my wife feels are real.

Geoff was a mate of mine, we met at bingo, then he joined my lodge. I was chairperson while he did his time waiting to climb up the ladder. He learnt alot from me. He did a good job when it came his time. He once worked for a number of years in a Melbourne hospital conducting autopsy's. He was ordered to not reference any nicotine related issue in the report. There was shitloads of smoking related deaths and diseases to pass by his scaple.
