North gave 25 + 46 + 2026 F2 for pick 11 + 54

Basically, Grlj + Sweid (25) + F2 for Whitlock + Dovaston

I think the comparison can only be made by looking what each club gave up and who they would have chosen.

North last year ponied up their early second which would have secured Whitlock for Caleb Daniel

I like the latter option but it’s not terrible if Thredgold makes it.

For us we were all over Alger. Assuming we still would have picked Sims, we would have gone picked Jasper with that next pick.

So our eventual result looked like…

Alger, Grjl and traded a 25F4 (unused) to GC.

But could have looked like….

Alger, Sam Allen (probably the pick that was left), 25 4th rounder (which we probably wouldn’t have used).

I think the result for North was ok but not optimal, and for us was outstanding.

Carlton have basically covered our debt we owed on this trade

they did redeem themselves a bit getting dovaston otherwise it was a cluster****. I still reckon whitlock wont make it though which if true puts it back into cluster**** territory.
