Larkey is one of the most overrated players in the comp. His 1v1 win % is an atrocious 23%. His goal assists are almost non-existent. His contested marking is below average. He kicks goals mostly from easy lead-ups, ‘out the back jacks’ and soft free kicks. He’s a very good converter so he does make the most of his opportunities.

But I kid you not … he kicked 6 against us a couple of years back when we beat them, and I didn’t even know he was playing such was his complete lack of doing anything contested or worthy of his goals. When i heard he kicked 6 heading home i was astounded.

That was 2023 when he kicked 5,6,9 to finish the season against also-rans .. it got him AA. He took 2 x contested marks in those 3 games where he kicked 20 goals.

He’s Ben Brown mark II. A decent player, but less than one dimensional.

The truth is not as you say

Less than one dimensional players don’t kick 70 goals in an afl season. Especially in the worst side in the comp.

But his underwhelming contested work too often does detract from his standing. he’s on track to finish with 500+ goals so not too many blokes have done that.

Where did you get pick #30 ???
Richmond In : #19 , #40 , Tarrant
NorF In : #42 , #47 + F4

#47 got upgraded to #40 for Richmond in exchange for our F4 and Norf got #42 for Tarrant
Pick #19 become #21 was used with pick #12 become #14 so #21 & #14 was used to trade for Taranto

Norf might have used a mix of picks to get #30 but that had nothing to do with Richmond

So it was #19 for CCj
