Why so hostile to people who point fingers of blame at Dreamworld and demand justice?
Sitting on something that was posted for the first time this morning. OK.

This sounds more like a Jarryd, than a Sam.

The question I'd like answered is:
How has no-one ever lodged a concern at any level re OH&S over that conveyor?
Anyone with an ounce of common-sense, who has worked in a heavy industrial environment, could see it's a clear & distinct human hazard.
Who the **** does the safety audits at this joint anyway?
This thread is for talking about it.
Why does there seem to be so many posters with a vested interest, in trying to silence discussion about it?
We've all seen the conveyor mate....There can be no argument about it being a death-trap.
The article I posted sums up most 'discussion' that has gone on. Armchair experts and conspiracy theories.
The ride has been operating for 30 years. Clearly there is some argument against it being a death trap.

That's a terrible argument. You do know what happens to some objects when they get old, yes?The article I posted sums up most 'discussion' that has gone on. Armchair experts and conspiracy theories.

This is the one thing I do agree with you about. Where I used to work for Mobil Oil they would have never allowed a situation like this to exist. They made us be proactive and look for hazards in the workplace. The conveyor belt was not safe even if a raft couldn't flip. They would of said it is unsafe based on the idiot factor of those who could hop on this ride. The question I'd like answered is:

The ride hasn't been operating for 30 years with a faulty pump and low water-level. These problems had arisen only recently. The ride had been closed earlier that day.The article I posted sums up most 'discussion' that has gone on. Armchair experts and conspiracy theories.

The ride was a death trap last Tuesday. Four people died because of a fault with the ride and because of the failure of staff to detect the fault and take evasive action. Those people weren't struck by lightning. They weren't killed because of any idiotic actions of people in the raft in front of them - that raft was empty.
Hopefully, we'll find out exactly why the empty raft was snagged when the investigation has been completed. But we already know the ride was faulty and an accident waiting to happen. Scoff all you want at the "hindsight experts", but that's what hindsight tells us.
Apparently it's a big no no for the plebs on Big Footy to express their opinion before we've heard the official verdict. Not sure why that is exactly. Posting our personal opinions on here is not much different to voicing them while drinking a coffee at work or over a few beers. It's certainly less visible than posting in the comments section of a newspaper article or sending a letter to the editor of the daily papers. Why does there seem to be so many posters with a vested interest, in trying to silence discussion about it?

I assume the people who are against us doing so have also adopted the same stance on threads about murderers, rapists and pedophiles before all the evidence is heard and told people to chill until after the accused are found guilty by the jury.
If you've been on the ride, why did you ignore it? Why didn't you point out to Dreamworld how unsafe their human mincer was? Why did you go on a ride that was so clearly unsafe? The funny thing is: Most of us have been on that ride....It's not like we're engaging in 'blind-supposition' here.
Even those who haven't, have full video evidence of it on you-tube....Doesn't take much to fill in the blanks, of what's taken place here.
That conveyor is one powerful, exposed & dangerous piece of machinery....A veritable human mincer....How was it ignored?

No-one goes to most places expecting to die.Young, dumb & fulla trust.
The point being Nazi: That could have been any of us.
No one goes to a fun-park expecting to die.
There was an 80 page thread on Big Footy with people speculating about a supposed rape involving two footballers. All sorts of accusations and wild speculation with the accused players' names constantly being mentioned or hinted at. That seemed to be the main function of the thread: somewhere on Big Footy for people to gather and share the identities of the accused before one of the mods could delete their post.Or trade threads.
Subject matters are miles apart but the reliance on bit facts and speculation to fuel a thread is the same.

No-one goes to most places expecting to die.
Maybe Dreamworld should just re-name the ride to The Human Mincer when it re-opens to warn people about the dangers of it.
That should cover them for any liability if any other accidents occur.
DRA Safety Specialists?Who the **** does the safety audits at this joint anyway?
and the girl who blames herself because it was her idea to go... heart breaking.
