A mate of mine recently got way too drunk one night in town and woke up with a shitty initials tat on his arm. Decided to get a big piece to cover it. Place he was recommended to go to, which did a nice job and certainly has alot of awards hanging around the place is up TTG way... ill find the name out next time i see him.

My Dad was in the army in WW2, in New Guinea, plus in the Merchant Marine for some time, he had plenty of tats, some quite large on his chest & back, plus some on his arms.

Later in life he always regretted them, always wanted them removed, but they can't be rubbed out, can they!

I have a tattoo that I like and which meant something significant when I got it. I'll always be happy to have it, as that moment in my life will always be meaningful.

No comment on your dad, but I would always hope that the things I do know, whether they're smart or stupid, are things that I wouldn't ever regret.

I guess everyone is just like your dad.

tattoos can be removed using laser surgery

they would be those dodgy Defence Forces tat. Similar to Prison ones. No wonder he wants them off him.

I have none, but some can look real good. I havent got any as I have no burning desire to have a picture on me. Anyway I am so indecisive that I could never settle on a design. I struggle at a restaurant if the menu has more than 10 items on it.....

I was always keen on getting the southern cross, this was before every second bloke got one.

Pretty glad I didnt get it done back in the day as too many people have it now. I still like the design but I wanted something original.

Have no tattoos myself, but have been told good things about the Ink Pit in the group of shops on the corner of anzac hwy and south rd. Have to book in advance to get in there apparently...

Good story this one, my mate, who you could say gets quite cut off only a few, and he is a big bloke. Well one time he went down town, had a few and left all his mates. Was missing in action for hours, didn't answer his phone.

Next day he rang up, he woke up in the parklands, he slept on a bench. His chest hurt. He got a tat on his left chest...

"Don't tell mum"

No, I'm guessing you're alive

My Dad died in 1971

Like I said, he was also in the Merchant Marine, he had several tats from ports located in god knows what countries.

I'm not trying to "preach"

Just think it's a really great idea for younger people to stop and think things through before they do something that is "life long", laser surgery aside.
