And that's how you build a shitty podcast. Introduce 'facts' and 'forensics' without context.

Palm print! It was her

Blood spots on floor! It was him

Fibers! It was them

Unless it's determined by cross checking statements and forensics they are just clickbait

If youre pointing that at MS, thats not what he does at all

As you transcribed 99% of the podcast it must be
Barely scratched 10% of each episode.
Highly recommend you actually watch an episode or two then youll understand why i make such a big deal about his method and purity of thinking, impartiality, search for truth and logic only

It's quirky but the JonBenet series is pretty good in that they're essentially just going over the history assessing media and police reports, throwing theories out.

This case is so old and cold, there's no harm I think and not much different to what we do here.

One of his catchphrases is "the only thing we know for sure is that we don't know anything for sure"

He often points out the errors of confirmation bias, coincidence theorists, scientism as religion-like not true science, logical fallacies, people make the mistake of discounting theories based on personal bias or wildness of theory, but in order to solve a case you must look at everything, no matter how wild, always looking for something that might shed light on something disregarded, test everything with critical impartiality, also consider criminals aren't logical by nature so you can't assume they act logically or how you would think in their situation, etc.

He merely puts forth facts, rumors, reports, digs deep finding things most people wouldn't know is out there from old police reports or media or books or interviews from family friends, even indulges in people's wild theories on forums like reddit or other "true crime" blogs, no stone left unturned to analyze. Never a conclusion made about the culprit, may test-run some theories to see if there might be validity in it, etc.

Because he looks at every angle, there'll obviously be many times when things do and don't make sense for one theory and the other, back and forth, but all he does essentially is place each interesting point/fact or suspicious thing pinned to our mental mental whiteboard. Like a detective's office. Things tacked onto the board, lines back and forth, going back over previous things as more light shed on other things, etc, and leaves it up to us to think, be better at thinking.

The Maxwell sideshow is also pretty funny at times. Guy who never pays attention and often forgets stuff. There used to be another guy who would play soundboard to him, called Rook I think. They were on for most of the Maura Murray case, they worked well together bouncing ideas.

They all sound very young, but when you hear their real voices in the remastered episode 1 of Maura, they're like 30 or 40. He uses voice generator software to disguise his voice, for legal reasons I guess.

jason_recliner is a coincidence theorist
And at times I do notice confirmation bias creeping into all of us, me included, as we post. We have our little theories and leanings. But to reach the sheer purity of MS, we have to keep being better. He is the Dan Marino of critical thinking

Maxwell is a ******* what's the point. Just makes the episodes longer than they need to be
He ditched him episode 4 onwards. But episode 3 was hilarious how Maxwell kept dozing off, and Maguire getting so agitated by it.

Im only about 20 episodes into the 76 of maura murray, another fascinating famous case....but the voice gen software they used then is horrific to listen to, you have to be in love (like me) to put up with it. But Rook and Maguire were good bouncing ideas, Maxwell could doze off and not be bothered. "So what do you think Maxwell, any thoughts?" "Uh um what about uh nevermind i forgot". Just to poke fun at him.

I've only also finished watching the 25 of Delphi, and he's all by himself there. Im guessing he eventually realized he's better off doing it by himself. But there are tons of other cases, done before and after, so probably some have the other guests and some just him when he eventually ditched them or they left him to it.

The upstairs is not quite as untidy but yeah it's hard to understand how they functioned with anything remotely resembling efficiency in day to day life. Not just Patsy who was untidy and I acknowledge she'd had cancer but it was John as well. In one of his interviews, he couldn't even remember on what wall the buttons to operate the garage door were.

Go figure.

It’s the first time I’ve seen the state of their house. Has a ‘mental illness’ vibe to it.

The 80's/90s fussy decor doesn't help but strip all that away and there's still crap everywhere. In one video, there's a big cheque for several thousand dollars just propped up sideways on an overstuffed shelf in the kitchen.

How about this LicoriceAllsorts ? I also posted this on the ep6 YT channel....

----------

1. Excellent how he deciphered if the 911 call was accidental by White, then there must be a following call that was dialed correctly, and therefore did anyone ever search the phone records?

2. So many SBTC parallels. All the guys he named also make strong cases for being the killer. He didn't mention how Helgoth also had Hitec boots found at his death scene. But I was thinking, wild theory, given John had possible enemies, given the military facility in the Philippines was noted to be rife with prostituted children by the US military personnel there, what if the "small foreign faction" refers to a small group of people seeking payback for those crimes, or acquaintances of John from those times that he maybe double-crossed seeking revenge, and what if "Victory SBTC" refers to that act of revenge? Wasn't also the Carr fella arrested in the Philippines? Or am I mistaken? What if the murder, I'm wildly theorizing, was a collective effort, highly planned act to get revenge on John and implicate his family? Maybe why there are so many strange coincidences, and so many different people with apparently strange ties to John but also possibly had access to information about John's financials, his home, etc. Either there's only one killer, and it's just incredibly bizarre and unlikely so many other things/people coincidentally connect, or, maybe they therefore ALL connect, coordinated, thus why there are so many incredibly bizarre coincidences among so many different people.

3. Following on...perhaps this is why Helgoth was murdered, to quieten him, or to try to frame him as single culprit. Maybe the Hitech shoes and SBTC hat were planted at his "suicide"/murder scene.

4. It would be amazing if Meyer, Helgoth, Carr, and Wolfe could all be found to be connected in some other way. Hired perhaps.

5. Maybe this is why John and Patsy always look so suspicious with contradictory statements, because they do know who did it, or masterminded a coordinated effort, higher people in his circle of work, say, and that they had to protect their remaining family.

6. Meyer seems particularly like a good suspect too, the shrine, the easy access, kids often over, Barnhills key to Ramseys home, etc. Again, all these people...Helgoth, Meyer, Carr, Wolfe, all reported to have violent streaks, suspicious sexual inclinations toward young girls, etc. Maybe JonBenet was being inappropriately photographed too, part of a pedo ring of file sharing, all these people connected by coincidence, access to JonBenet and family. Given how shoddy their home was kept, the security, how many people were connected to the Ramsey's circle of associates, how famous JonBenet was in the community and abroad, etc, would've put JonBenet's life at such negligent risk. Maybe why the Grand Jury was looking to specifically indict the parents for creating an environment that put their daughter at such risk.

7. Still something uneasy about John Andrew situation too. Certain things about the contents of the suitcase, as well as possibly being spotted on the day of the murder in Boulder and not in Georgia. Not to implicate, just speculate.

I'm about to start episode 7, might not be till tomorrow evening before i can watch episode 9. But i'll let you know what I think.

I got the first three on a podcast so I can walk around which is better for me, I tried the next on the only available video clips and I cant sit still for that long. Hope they bump up to podcasts.

I think they're all on podcasts. I have android. When I do a google podcast search for Mindshock, i see tons of the episodes as podcasts. Not sure if all 400+ videos have been put up there, but I'd say yes, as he really looks after his product on various platforms.

I personally prefer the videos because there are also pictures and videos that aid. But I did listen to a maura murray episode via audio-podcast when I was over at someones house during christmas.
