Dedicated Collingwood Channel - FFC ??

When I rang up Foxtel yesterday to change a few things around on my Pay TV package, the woman asked who I supported etc, and said 90% of new subscribers are Collingwood supporters.

Anyway, when she was running through all the new features, she came out with...

"Also, Collingwood and Essendon will have dedicated Fox Footy Channels, with only Collingwood (Essendon) games (etc)"

1) If this was true, how ****ing good will that be

2) I have not read any of this anywhere, so...

Is she pulling my leg, or has anyone else heard of this???

That would also free up the regular FoxFooty for more coverage of the other 16 clubs.

We will have the weekly "In Black and White Tonight Show" on Fox Footy, starting in a few weeks, and so will the Bombers, who have a show prepared to be hosted by Sarah Jones.

But nah, there ain't going to be dedicated channels, and if there was, Fox would make you pay for them for sure.

The only way she might be getting confused is with CTV, and it's expanding access to the Bigpond TV network, maybe that's what she was talking about.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. They have just put in the dedicated fox footy channel. It would be a massive step for one or two teams to have a dedicated channel.

That's what has been flashing up tonight on Fox Footy's flicker anyway.

(I think I have date right, 21st of March is the debut).

It's been billed as "A look inside the Collingwood Football Club".

I think it'd be OK. He has good connections, know's how to host, know's what people like and he's done these types of shows before.
