Have tried them, are surprisingly good

All the mars bar melts in the middle and is within the batter (just make sure they don't fry it in the same oil as the fish)

Yeah heard of them. At our local fish and chip shop we can get any chocolate bar we like. Will have to try one, one day.

YUCK!!!!!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!

Please tell me this isn't happening and that I am not imagining things - due to lack of sleep?

Mars Bars belong in the fridge until they are nice and cold - then gobbled up until there is nothing left! :D

Has anyone had a Mars Midnight? Talk about Yummy!

Exactly... a time and a place for everything. :p

Now, deep-fried cheese on the other hand... yummy. Mozzarella sticks, with marinara or sour cream dipping sauce, now that's one hell of a guilty pleasure.

But in moderation, of course. :)

Cheers,
William

The local fish and chip shop has been selling them for years. They are bloody brilliant, although i would only recommend having 1, once every month or so.

Mars Midnight is 1 of the most disgusting chocolate bars going round.

none of you have had fried icecream before? Only ever had it at chinese restaurants but its awesome. If deep fried mars bars are half as good as the icecream i'll have to try it....

I've heard of them, and I hear they are available at our Roadhouse, but I haven't seen them yet. Not so sure I'm willing to try it anyway. Why would you ruin something so beautiful as a Mars Bar by deep frying it? :D

Had one and it is sickeningly sweet.

I think Dunfries might be the capital rather than Glasgow. Have been to a couple of chippies in Dumfries that deep fry everything - mars bars, snickers, kit kats, pizzas, swiss rolls. Not really a surprise that Scotland has the highest rate of Heart Disease in Europe.
