Who was missing? Hodge, Sewell, McEvoy, Whitecross, Stratton... which 3 am I missing?
I got your point, you feel he is a strong leader, I replied it happened under his watch (opposition kicking multiple goals/us folding). By "under his watch" I meant his captaincy.
I know the club have banged on about his great leadership skills IMO what has happened on the field indicates (and still does) that we are lacking in this area.
The captain can have some influence before the game and at the breaks but this is where the coaches (we have alot of them) should be doing that. The captains influence should be focused on field where the coaches don't have ready access to the players. Sure the captain may occasionally fire up the team just as they run out (in my experience any player can/has the opportunity to do this)
As DABM and someone else pointed out vB was in the side last year, so perhaps his effect wouldn't be as big as I think. Still I don't remember us being quite this bad last year, perhaps I have a short memory.

Apart from Vince to get 23, don't forget the Polec debacle with players apparently shopped left right and centreSums it up perfectly
Yup - no doubt that is a mystery. I don't think any single answer really explains it. 'lack of fitness' makes as much sense to me as 'lack of confidence'.Fair enough.
The mystery is how you go from a sense of purpose at the 15 min mark of the third - to a sense of futility 5 mins later?
Yep that wouldn't have helped either. I wonder if we would have been so keen to gain Jarred "good news story" Polec, if we didn't have the backdrop of Tippet-gate?Apart from Vince to get 23, don't forget the Polec debacle with players apparently shopped left right and centre

Single answer - Petrenko playing on from 10m out, missing and sending the ball straight back down the ground for a goal. Could have been within 2 points to 2 minutes later being 13 points and the rot started from there!Yup - no doubt that is a mystery. I don't think any single answer really explains it. Simple if it had only happened once. But 3 games ?Single answer - Petrenko playing on from 10m out, missing and sending the ball straight back down the ground for a goal. Could have been within 2 points to 2 minutes later being 13 points and the rot started from there!
Interesting to hear Mick Malthouse on the radio tonight.
He said the members are the most important people at a football club, because, and I quote "the members vote in the board by ballot ."
We wish.
Hale played.Lake, Schoenmakers and David Hale
I love an inane comeback from an ill equipped pseudo intellectual.Robust, really. Oh dear, lol
Hale played.
From memory Wright and Mackay and one would assume Smack.Who?
Yep I think these were mentioned in the media - I recall Wrights management coming out strongly that he wasn't moving. From memory Wright and Mackay and one would assume Smack.
True - I'm sick of hearing its only 3 games. It's now only us, Richmond and the Bulldogs who have not played in a GF since 98 ( expansion teams aside)In SA, our club lived off of 1997/98 for over a decade. Since then we've been close but not consistently good enough, but always "respected" nationally. People are now clicking that we aren't actually that good, both on and off the field, and it's more than just a blip on the radar.
Hearing Mick Malthouse last night highlighted how stuffed our club is, he was talking about Carlton and how they are under the spotlight.
He said the members are responsible for voting in/for a new board.
This board is then responsible for hiring someone to run the club - CEO
This CEO is then responsible for hiring the coach/footy department.
Compare that too our inbred boys club where no one is responsible!!
Well done also to Kernahan for putting out a youtube message for the fans stating how unhappy the CFC is with their perfomances. Who from our club has shown some leadership and tried to stop the rot? All we did last week was send out Radar. I dont think anyone has faced the music this week after Saturdays non-effort.
