Anyone watching AFL 360?

They just listed 8 players from Hawthorn were out vs Fremantle and they won by a stack.

Injuries are not the reason we are playing badly. It's an easy excuse to use.

It has occurred to you the Hawks have a tad more depth than us currently??

No shit Sherlock.

Keep bitching about Lewis Johnston and use injuries as an excuse and everything will be ok.

We will finish mid table and just keep cruising along.

How you could put that "spin" on what I actually said is just plain amazing!!!o_O

Still, that fits in with your agenda I guess!!

You said that the coach made a statement about the opposition that the players knew was incorrect. You say things that fit your agenda without realising that it supports the opposing view. This is a common occurrence when you gear yourself towards one end of the spectrum and deny yourself the opportunity to form your own views. It's ok, you're not alone. Jen is here somewhere.

Oh I agree it's more than just injuries.

Injuries are making it worse however. Whatever it is.

Injuries are giving it the attention it deserves.

If we lose round 1, 2 and 3 by under 10 points each week - this drama wouldn't be an issue as we have played some good sides.

The injuries are emphasising the crap.

It's very bizarre. In 3 games we are a competitive outfit for 2.5 quarters. Personnel is fine. Game plan not great but good enough.

Then at the 15 min mark of the 3rd quarter we actually stop playing -without any kind of meaningful football. No effort, no skill, no game plan - just nothing.

20 goals to 4 in 4th quarters, 30 of the last 34 goals scored across the 3 games scored by our opposition.

They just actually stop playing. That's not personnel, it's not gameplan - fitness? Maybe I guess.

I don't pretend to know the answer, but it's too weird

Then add 34 (was it 34) goals in 3 games from turnovers, this suggests that our skill level and attitude isn't right.

Isn't that a record in the AFL for the first 3 rounds.

Yep goals against for turnovers is a long way worst in comp.

When was the last time you saw any team play 3 games in a row, each a template of the last?

3 goals down at half time, come back in the third to get in front or close to, then just stop and disappear?

I don't recall ever seeing it, or anything like it. Inexplicable

Utter bullshit!!!

Here's exactly what I said in reply to "little graham's post..

little graham said:
You don't tell young lists how hard something is like he did when your on top of your coaching game. . You don't say port have a midfield as good as any when they have a mid table one..
Crap, as if the players themselves don't know how good or bad their likely opponents on the day are???

Give the coach and players some credit for having a brain and reasonable intelligence at least!!

I dont know, I think its just coincidence about the timing.
I see it as like being screwed around on by your missus for the first 3 years of marriage and not having the ballz to go postal.
The fourth year you just resign yourself to the fact that you are a phussi-whipped biatch, spending the rest of your miserable life blaming everyone else in the world.

Wayne Carey was talking the other day about Sydney and how damaging to a clubs culture an overpaid import can be. Got me thinking about the possible reasons for our own shitty culture and the fact so many players have wanted out over the last few years. Could it have anything to do with the fact we ridiculously paid Kurt above his value to retain him back in 2009. Alot more than any other AFC player was earning. Was that the catalyst for the start of the decline of our culture?

Shit, hope the admin and management have a few more goals than becoming SA's Richmond!

I believe it can play a part. Kurt hadn't done a lot at that time and he was living on promise alone. The crows definitely gambled on paying him overs to keep him. I think a lot more of the damage was done though in 2012 when Kurts contract was up again and the crows were running around demanding players take pay cuts to keep him. This was just in the wake of Phil Davis and Bock walking out so I cant blame them too much for trying to again pay overs for a star players service. However it does raise serious concerns on how the administration treat players who perhaps aren't in the star category. Regardless of form all players at least should get treated with respect and part of me doesn't believe the AFC do it well enough.

As for Sydney I think they have serious issues ahead. May take a couple of years but when some star young guns fall out of contract and their isn't any money in the bank for a pay rise, will be interesting.

Methinks Sydney are banking on a relatively bullish increase in TPP over the coming years, making Buddy's overall slice of the pie smaller. Not terrible thinking really.

I don't think they banked on the allowance going but they have to publicly remain silent otherwise they look stupid.

Injuries are not the reason why we stop trying for the last 1+ quarters & get smashed late in the game.

We are missing 2 big competent forwards, we haven't been the same team without tex and Tippett.
We maynot have the same quality, but doesn't excuse the pathetic turnover rate. That's just mental application

True, mentally you feel a lot better kicking it to tex or Tippett than what we have atm or last year.

Yeah you have more confidence sure... but when you're hitting the lead you don't all of a sudden go home when Pets has a brain fade do you?
