Many people had Dees as slight favourites against an underdone Saints outfit yet they still got beaten, but it was the way they got beaten. They turned in an insipid, lifeless performance and continue to carry Yze and others.
Their season could be on the line in round 2. Imagine if they lose to Hawthorn on Sunday in a game they're widely tipped to win after Hawks' equally bad effort. You'll hear a thunder of 4WD's heading early to the ski-slopes because losing this week to Hawthorn could just be early stumps for the poor Dees.

Go Hawks! :) (and i'll never say that again).

Any tips from a supporter of a fellow loser club?

Did you hear the weekend results, especially the one where we pantsed the Crows in a game we were apparently odds-on to lose?
We're going nicely at the minute sunshine, worry about your own future or lack of after round 2 :thumbsu:

Lets discuss rounds 2-17 of 2006.

They were great days for Essendon

And BTW, congratulations for beating a team that had 6 of its best players out on the weekend.

the dees are stuffed without their only tough midfielder sitting on the sidelines

Its round 1 mate.

All the rubbish teams win, and all the good teams lose.

It's a fact.

Do you honestly think Essendon, Port, Brisbane and Carlton will make the 8??

We were thumped because we played like $hit for 2 quaters with a $**** gameplan. That won't happen again this week. How bout pickett, sylvia and rivers out for us and moloney coming back from long term injury aswell as Mclean, Mcdonald and Davey underone? We were no where near full strength.

whilst i loved watching the Dees get done, there is no way they are gone for the year what a load of crap. They will make the 8 and see serious Sept action, although this time the Saints will knock em out of the finals
