Review Dees v the Carlton Cheats: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Friend, the first match I ever saw was Melbourne v Carlton at VFL Park in 1972. It was a butt-whooping.

Since then there have been an equal number of wins over lows – for instance:

Melb v Carlton Prelim 1988 – a gloomy day even by the lowly standards of Waverley.

Melbourne v Carlton – Elimination Final, 2004

Melb v Carlton 2014 Home and Away - Roos' first triumph in REd and Blue

Melb v Carlton semi final 2023.

In truth, over time, Carlton has given us less grief than, say, Geelong or Hawthorn. Today will go their way by 20 points – they have greater physicality than us.

Go on Dees, prove me wrong!!!

lmao, i didn't think we'd win. But it kinda went as expected.
Early days in the season but, Carlton appear to be fast starters but drop off after half time

We on the other hand appear to seemingly be slow starters, but are running out games

I am ready for both sides of supporters to be frustrated with this one

Credit to all of JVR for the kickstarting it, King for adjusting it, and Max for making the change as well to hitting it out differently, massively turned it around in the second half. Never saw that with Goody. #KingBall

This is the weirdest good bad ugly I've ever done. At half time I could have single handedly punched on with every one of them

Second half Kozzie was best player in the comp level, Fritsch completely shook his opponent and was kicking everything, Blake Howes had the game of his career absolutely torched his opponent and Lever was pretty good as well.

Windsor started running and carrying, Langford with a brilliant forward goal to show what he's capable of. Steele and Sparrow started to up the pressure

WHAT THE ****
