In regards to Latrelle its annoying how he tries to snap everything when taking a shot at goal, just run straight and kick a drop punt ffs. Im not fussed either way if hes dropped or not but he has quite a few of the basics to work on.

Yeah needs some coaching on that, I remember watching his SANFL highlights and he did some pretty silly shots on goal.

Koz and Langford should be our main two midfielders imo. Koz showed last year he is AA quality and Langford looks a natural centre square guy. Sort that shit out sKiing, can't be wasting CBAs on Kolt and Spazza ffs.

Salem's soccer kicks did my head in wtf was that weak shit from a senior player. Enjoy the trip down to Casey 201 games go eat butt.

Should have played TMac their forwards are beasts. Also bring in Moose.

Aim should be 5-5 after 10 games get it done boys we are tracking well if it happens.

GOOD: Despite his clangers inside 50, pretty handy game from Steele given what we gave up for him. 31 disposals, 6 marks, 8 tackles, 9 clearances..

BAD: Skills fell off a cliff from last week.

UGLY: The connection between the team just looks a long way off. Super noticeable in defence. No direction, no talk.

I didn't watch much of the game other than on the tv at the pub. And i tuned out after the first quarter anyway. But did notice last week at the G that our connection out of defence was terrible at times. Bowey missing maybe doesn't help. May was a distributor also. McVee was another neat kick out of defence as well. Lindsay needs time and Salem needs to be shot out of a cannon. Get AMW in there. He's a pretty solid ball user.

No one expected a win in Freo. But need a response against the Blues. We'll probably go in underdogs but need a good showing. Freo will put a few teams away this year. Outside of the first quarter it wasn't too bad scoreboard wise. Although they clearly took the foot off the throat.

There's definitely a lot of shuffling of the lineup and roles to go as the year goes on.

The cohesion is only from playing together though unfortunately no way to rush it. Backline and midfield especially has so many new players and roles, all playing a new game style. We were messy against the Saints too, but we got 'lucky' with our ball use on the day. Not so much against Freo.

Yep, past his peak for sure, but every time I saw a ground ball and saw no Melbourne players at all on the TV, I kept thinking ’Viney would have been in there butting heads’.

He’s the sort of player we finally actually need to smash contests now we don’t have a million inside mids and no one but Steele wants a contest .

Don’t think we can carry 2 taggers and unfortunately for Sparrow, Tholstrup is a way better tagger than Sparrow is.

Happy to drop him for any of Heath, AMW, Laser, even rather get games into Tommy Matthew’s or Taylor tbh.

After 8 years, we are no longer going to get any improvements from him.

Only reason we may want to keep playing him is to try fabricate some value for him as a FA to try rort the system like West Coast did with that spud Oscar Allen

Only looks good running in a straight line after a handball receive. If he can’t start winning his own ball, sticking tackles or breaking tackles he needs to go back to the wing.

I like the kid and hope he succeeds but **** he is so far off it right now in terms of his reppetoir of skills. Couldn’t even stick tackles on small skinny blokes like Serong and Bolton.

Hate to see how he goes against blokes like Bont, Cripps, Trac, Callaghan, Heeney, Horn-Francis, Rowell ect.

To be real he wouldn't be learning in most AFL sides, he's gonna look pretty stupid in a few games I think while he's learning.
Also looks like he has very little forward pressure. See the potential but also see why no one else looked at him
