BT said he's usually a good kick. I think he is good and finding the short option but his kicking inside forward 50 is less than good.Did I hear one of the commentators say brayshaw is a good kick?

Ross Lyon is the best I've ever heard, I listen to him talk about discipline and I wanna play footy for him. He has such a believable charisma and philosophy.Lyon is so good for analysis.
Yep. They often do I notice. It’s like the universal Dom Tyson delusionDid I hear one of the commentators say brayshaw is a good kick?
Just on that - the TOG stats include all the time the game was suspended due to lightning. Harmes was on the bench when they went off, so it reads as him missing ~30 minutes of game time due to that.Bloody Good: Harmes
Just had a look and he only had 54% Time on Ground. To have as much influence as he did in only half a match is unreal. Even VDB had more TOG.
Agree with this. I remember liking Ling in the media for the first couple of years, now he's awful. It's a massive club, the media. Once a commentator starts to get comfortable in their job they tend to phone it in.Lyon is great. Leppa is too, maybe ch7 have just started ruining him. Coaches recently out of the game know a hundred times more than the analysts who have been in the media for years, Buckley will be great next year too.
How stupid is that. No players were on the ground for that 30 minutes!Just on that - the TOG stats include all the time the game was suspended due to lightning. Harmes was on the bench when they went off, so it reads as him missing ~30 minutes of game time due to that.
He was still really good, but played much more than 54%
1998 was one that I look back at and think that was our best chance. We smashed Adelaide but ran into North that stitched us up. There was a quirk I looked at that we could’ve possibly got the WB in a PF but it wasn’t to be. 1987 we were pretty damn good as well. That was the Stynes man on the Mark incident I think. It occurred to me this is the best home and away that I can remember. 1998 and 2000 were great but we still only had 14 wins in both those seasons. I feel 98 was probably our best crack and 2000 we were 50/50 before we had that incredible run to the gf. I know we were already at 14.5 wins before last night but that doesn't feel much better than 14 wins plus it kind of feels like a loss. Even if we get just one more win would be fantastic and two more would be huge. Despite our losses coming against lower ranked teams it's a great effort to bank these wins.
For the record 1990 we had 16 wins but I was too young to remember that.
He is very practical and knowledgeable. I believe he did a lot of his own personal development with specialists in America. He is extremely well drilled. He did an amazing job with St Kilda and Fremantle. I still shake my head when Saints fans blame him on not winning the flag in 09 & 10 and walking out to coach Fremantle.Ross Lyon is the best I've ever heard, I listen to him talk about discipline and I wanna play footy for him. It was a dumb system no benefit of finishing top 4, we pumped Adelaide and then the saints and then had to play North on a 6 day break. Under current system we would have played North straight up. Geelong dudded the year before finished 2nd and lost to 7th placed North. Had to play Adelaide away.1998 was one that I look back at and think that was our best chance. He should be an army general. Even from his interviews I wanna run through a brick wall for himHe is very practical and knowledgeable. It was seriously odd. This finals system is the best I feel.It was a dumb system no benefit of finishing top 4, we pumped Adelaide and then the saints and then had to play North on a 6 day break. He has an amazing ability to filter out noise. He just has this really controlled focus on matters that he identifies as relevant. He very much lives in the moment. He should be an army general. Even from his interviews I wanna run through a brick wall for him
Lyon is so good for analysis.
Undoubtably Lyon is probably the best tactical analyst in the game (Clarkson could lay claim to this as well)Ross Lyon is the best I've ever heard, I listen to him talk about discipline and I wanna play footy for him. He has such a believable charisma and philosophy.
Spot on. He's also *en funny on Triple M, would be an absolute pleasure to play for as long as you put in 100% and played the way he wanted.Ross Lyon is the best I've ever heard, I listen to him talk about discipline and I wanna play footy for him. He has such a believable charisma and philosophy.

It’s funny when you look at the scores in the 98 GF; Adelaide were 15.15 and North were 8.22 - both had 30 goes at itIn 1998, we would have had to beat North eventually to win the flag and they were a far superior side - they beat us comfortably in the prelim, and then completely choked in the Grand Final. We'll never be afforded that luxury (lol)
Anyway, this year is clearly our best chance for a flag in my 30 years of following the club. Whilst we're demonstrating patches of really good footy I still worry about our abilities under pressure. Finals will show where we really are at. Fortunately, most of the other teams this year all have significant deficiencies as well, there's no real standout for me. If we were up against the Richmond side of the previous two years I'd rate the current team no chance.
Yes but 6.15 to 4.3 at half time the game should have been over by thenIt’s funny when you look at the scores in the 98 GF; Adelaide were 15.15 and North were 8.22 - both had 30 goes at it
Gladstone Small having an off season operation - a givanecktomyLeppa has no neck on him. He looks like Gladstone Small.
My exact thoughts too. No point trying at that point, percentage doesn't matter for usFeel inclined to comment coz no one has mentioned it, pretty obvious to me when the players came back on they were in preserve and protect the body from injury mode with a 32 point lead. Completely understandable, fu** going flat knacker after you've been sitting down for 40 minutes and potentially pinging a hammy or doing a calf at this time of year.
Absolutely im giving them a pass for the final 15 minutes. Nothing to read into it whatsoever, the goal was to get a win, zero fu**s given about by how much.
