I think our need for a small and crumbing forward is pretty clear here today. 3 F50 entries and it's come straight out and going down the other end at the moment. Hawks working MUCH, MUCH harder than us.

And don't turn it off. We need to watch this as it's part of us learning the new game plan. Not panic stations by any means.

Our midfield, however, has fallen in to it's bad habits. Neeld won't be pleased.

The positive is that Clark looks dangerous - he is crashing a few packs and bringing the ball to ground. Good signs.

Thought Watts wasn't too bad in that quarter either, better than last week at any rate. We tightened things up as the quarter rolled on but it's a reality check for us, Hawks are going to be sensational this year.

Mids got smashed in first ten mins, Fwds began to click, backs trying hard.

Few occasions that no opposite foot has defiantly caught us out.

Can't blame a guy going for a close 9 pointer when down by 4-5 goals with a PACKED 50..

Bate was crap but made up for it (perhaps) with a good line-break.

We still have that uncanny ability to always be running to a loose player, rather than him being manned up/within range to intercept. It's always someone else's fault..

I disagree HFF - for the NAB Cup anyway. This is the best time to watch as it tells us a few things about where we are at. Clearly we have a long way to go but we are playing the Premiership favourite who are close to full strength.
