No idea but someone earlier in the thread mentioned that it was a compound fracture of the finger. I actually think we really, really missed his presence and sure hands around the packs today.
Well I don't know how bad that is but I sure as hell hope it isn't anywhere as bad as what happened to Dylan Buckley (10 weeks) although his problem was ligament damage.

Well I'm no doctor but I'd say a fracture is worse than a dislocation but not as bad as ligament damage. I read it medical journals. ;)

Not here ta troll guys , check my history , not my thing ....
How many and who where missing from your best 22 tonight and where is Grimes at ?? Rd1 or later for him ......cheers Dasher

So does anyone agree/disagree on what I said about Davey? Just thought the effort was there, didn't have a good game by any means but chased tail all day.

Grimes, I'd argue Blease, Green, can't think of many others off the top of my head. Who was missing for the Hawks? Mitchell obviously but I don't know about others.

I agree with you in terms of his effort - I thought he laid some good tackles and put on some good pressure that showed he still has it. He just didn't do it consistently enough.

I think he is bereft of confidence though. In the second term when he could have run in to goal he didn't - he took the shot from distance and missed. A confident Davey would have just run in to the open goal. He just needs more game time IMO.

Tapscott is another to go with Grimes and Green. Trengove and McKenzie were just fresh back from injury and Magner spent basically the entire game off with an injury. And we won't count Jurrah.

So not too many. You guys were excellent today though, foot skills were sublime.

You really missed him , he add's heardness and flair off halfback , i hope he gets his body right .....Also recon Gawn is a big lose , as there seem t be very little support for Jamar .
Out's for us .....all based on opion's
Mitch , Shiel's , Ruff , Gilham , Burgoyne , Gibbo , Ossie , Guerra AND you may or may noy count Ellis......

Another that if he can get his body right , will give you boy's plenty....:thumbsu:

Correct. I'd like to include young fellas like Blease, Strauss and Gysberts in our best 22 but that would be a huge stretch. Reading your list of out today doesn't make me feel any better about today's loss... ;)

Ill go now......:o

At least today we can genuinely call it a "football lesson".

Under Bailey we didn't learn a single bloody thing, apart fromt the fact that we were up the creek.

Neeld will take this on board and use it to our developmental advantage.

Ha ha, I more meant that it's clear how much work is needed to be done by the club, but I think that's a good thing. After a loss like this I would have no confidence that Bailey would get the job done off the field, but I haven plenty of faith in Neeld and co that they would take so much from a game like today's and look to improve while making sure the players are aware that piss poor efforts won't be tolerated. There hasn't been enough of that sort of stuff at the club since John Northey.

I just posted the same thing, yet you did it without waffling on like an old man like I did! :thumbsu:

Baby ... Bath water ....
You boys make great points and one's that need to be kept in mind by Dee's fans through out the year ......It took 3 yrs imo b4 the players had a grasp of Clarko's game plan and what was expected of them on AND off the field ......it takes time !!
Good luck for the rest of the year guys and i look Fwd to whip'n butt in the Melb/Hawks DT ....

Not that I disagree but the problem is we all waited for Baileyball to take off, and waited, and waited, and waited so I don't think people will be as generous this time.

Possibly, but when you have co-captains of 20 and 22 yrs of age it brings you back down to earth a bit although I understand your point.

Some Dees fans will start to lose it if we serve up **** and pretend it's gelato ala the Coogee Bay Hotel.

Yep I was going to point out the same thing - I thought he was ok (bar a couple of missed goals and 1 poor chase late in the game which looked more like a fitness issue than lack of effort to me).

Another thing I noticed was Tom Couch is great at getting himself to the contest and getting his hand to the ball, but he's not very good at using it. Seems to fumble and go to ground alot - albeit in tight situations.

Nicholson, Bennell and Bail were disappointing for me.

Honestly didn't give a rat's arse about this til now - only just checked the score.

Eh, whatever. You play, you learn, especially against the flag favourites and a side looking to play themselves into dominating this season. Mitsubishi finger is not great though.

Worst thing about yesterday was watching Martin for the tigers how recruiting has been average at best. I love trengove but Scully jumped ship and Martin is the best of the three by a mile at the moment. Watts also has a lot more improvement needed to justify the 1st pick but time will tell.

My summary of the Casey game might in a small way explain why they are feeling pretty good about themselves getting a game next week or maybe they are just human & are young blokes just relaxing after a hard game that they played earlier today...

Yeah, maybe I'm over-reacting. I hate watching us lose.

Thanks for the Casey report mate. :thumbsu:

Loved Neeld's press conference though, he was absolutely simmering with rage.

Port @ AAMI is a good result for us; they've had a really strong pre-season and it will be a good test for us.

I bet the boys are absolutely wrecked this week though...
