It was one of many stark images of a remarkable night of football at the SCG.
The Sydney Swans had come from nowhere to steal an amazing three-point victory over Geelong in last year's semi-final thanks to four last-quarter goals from Nick Davis.
The Cats were heartbroken, no-one more so than Cameron Mooney who left the field in tears. He wasn't alone. Geelong was devastated and the raw emotion was amplified by the fact that the match was veteran defender Brenton Sanderson's final game with the club.
Mooney is a passionate person who wears his heart on his sleeve on the field. The 26-year-old agrees his emotions were simply a natural reaction.
