Dowler has shown nothing as far as I'm concerned. Not sure I would take him for free in the PSD if he wanted to come, definitely wouldn't trade for him.

Boyle is of no use to us.

Thorp I would look at.

Dowler is nothing special, but would be a handy depth player i guess from what i've seen.

Boyle is a decent VFL player and nothing more.

Thorp is injury prone and doesn't play like a KPP.

I can see where the OP is coming from, but at the end of the day, i wouldn't be prepared to give up anything more than a 3rd round pick for any of those players...

We need to rebuild through the draft, and only trade draft picks where the end result is so far stacked in our favour, otherwise we might as well change our name to Fremantle...

Warnock has been a rock and the most consistent backman out of the 5.

He is the same age as Rivers and 18 odd months older then Martin.

Warnock is quicker then Rivers. Stronger. Warnock Plays the number one forward. Rivers plays 2nd or third or is a floater. Both don't really get involved coming out of defense but they are defenders first. Rivers is a danger to himself with his courage.

Rivers is smarter with positioning and reads the game really well but Warnock's ability to spoil, protect, shut down is what I'm looking for in a fullback.

Rivers is a quality player but if a trade comes up, he'll be the one, not Warnock.

Fair enough you raise some good points. I would argue Martin and Frawley can hold down key posts and rivers can ber versatile i have seen him play on Kosi and Cloke down to Shannon Byrnes, which he has over Warnock. Rivers decision making surpasses Warnock and he can win more of the footy.

You are right in that Warnock is the least versatile in the 5 but Warnock would be my number one choice when we are facing a strong tall. Ie Cloke, Kosi, Hall, Roughead etc. Most teams got one.

Rivers isn't my number one choice defender for any forward type.
He'll do a good job but IMO there are others better equipped to do it.

I wouldn't trade any of them personally - Warnock and Rivers would be the most likely to find themselves on the outer down the track but they have FA trade value. If we traded one to the GC in '10 we could get better value.

Nathan Jones is a player both Hawthorn and (particularly) Collingwood might be interested in though...

I don't like the fact that 8 of the potential 1st rounders will be taken by GC because they're bottom aged. We're being screwed over yet again, this time by Queensland's 'grassroots' football club' haha... I reckon that 2nd rounder (pick 18 or 19 e.g.) should be put on the trade table cause its worth about a pick 26 or 27 in real terms...

Terrible deal! Dowler is a pea heart and Renouf a hack! I do enjoy some trade speculation Flashhh but I agree with Col- no deal!

soft and wasting potential. Ask most hawks supporters they'll agree. They had very high hopes for him and hasn't delivered. sure he's had a few injuries but he's had some chances and not done what they wanted/expected
