Brown and Frost are in AA form right now.

Marley, Landon and Toovey are probably the best set of small defenders in the AFL at the minute.

It's funny. This is exactly what we were saying at this time last year, but a lot of people went off them really quickly in that back end of the year.

With another year under their belt it's great to see them playing such good footy and it looks like even better than last year. Ben Hart has them playing some very very good footy.

Brown. I've lost count how many times he's been caught running backwards, chunky arms raised high, only to be easily out-bodied and out-marked by a goal-side opponent.

I'll raise my hand and say I was worried when I saw Ramsay and Oxley's name in round 1. Definitely love seeing them now!

Oxley is my mine and I called it after round his first game this season. No body else can claim him as theirs now.

We may fall away again in the second half of the year but we know what this boys can produce and it's all about building their tank now.

I called it on Ramsay being a regular part of our defence this year. His kicking was great tonight.

We haven't really beaten any sides with great forward lines, so I'm hesitant to heap praise just yet, but certainly the traits are there. I'm a big Frost fan, he reads the game well and is very athletic. Guys like Oxley, Ramsay, etc will all get better too as they are young, compared to our 2010-11 side who had guys like Maxwell, Davis and Presti running around.

It'll be interesting to see the reaction of the forum when we play a good side. I hope people don't become overly harsh, because I think there is enough evidence to suggest that our defense will be even better once we clean up our disposal.
