Although getting our forward line to function will be critical to us winning, so will our defensive match-ups. This is what i would do, how about you?

Medhurst – Chick – Medhurst gets most of his goals from out-positioning his opponent. I think we need someone who can beat him at his own game. Chick found his niche in defence against the crows and has the pace to stay with him on the lead. Green did well on him in the preseason so he would also be a chance.

Farmer – Wirrapunda – I would put Wirra on him as he has a good record against farmer and soundly beat a similar type in Ronnie Burns last week. However, I think the Eagles will actually go for more of a negator such as Braun.

Croad – Carroll – Seems the perfect match-up in terms of size and speed. Carroll tore Croad a new a$$hole in the pre-season so he deserves the chance to tear him a third one.

Longmuir – Milli – Longmuir isn’t back to full-fitness just yet and hasn’t regained his full mobility. Because of this he will probably play close to goal and so Macca would be a good match-up [I feel] in the body-to-body positioning he will try to play.

Sh*thouse – Anyone, it doesn’t matter. Morrison maybe.

Headland – If Headland goes forward, I would be tempted to play a similar size player on him such as Morrison. If Collica is back, I’d probably play him instead. If worst comes to worst, we can always put embers on him.

Sandilands – If Sandilands plays up forward, all the better for us. A tall hack is still a hack. Milli or Cox will play on him.

Pavlich – If he plays at CHF put Jacko on him. If he plays FF, Milli or Glass. Pavlich is their best chance of creating a miss-match in the forward line and if I was Connelly, I would play him here.

You my freind Are clutching at straws & really have no idea whats going on !!!

Just a possible scenario... What if CC opts for Medhurst to start at CHF.... To basicallly leave him in an open corridor does JW opt to play Jako on him where he will have his sorry Watsonia arse run off him & Medders does as his pleases or play Chick as you said and have 3 leading options with slow arse WCE players lagging behind with a crumber and Medders waiting in the wings

Chick would be fine on the flying tampon. As for the 3 leading options they would be who?

We can only hope Medhurst starts at CHF.

Croad and leading in the same sentence just does't work :p

J Lo is a better dancer than she is a leader :D

More likely on a half forward flank where he can use his excekkent spotting of a leading forward. This IMO is his best spot as we got 3 or 4 goals from him passing to a free forward.

Get ready for another bag of seven from Clive.

Ahh well, so much for me trying to start a serious thread without the freo trolls hi-jacking it. Maybe next time I will know better.

Pfft, if you wanted a serious discussion, you wouldn't have referred to Waterhouse as Sh*thouse.

Really that 25 goal effort was just a dress rehersal for this week.
they are working on converting at least half of those 18 pts as well so the target is 34 9 and a new record score. :D
