I cant believe how little some of you Eagles fans actually know about footy.
Its interesting to see you working on your backline.... who exactly is going to kick the goals for you?

Whereas your knowledge of footy would be................?

There was a team in 1994 who didn't kick 20 goals all season (with one exception rather late in the day). Too defensive. Didn't have a CHF. Coach was too negative. Yackety Yackety Yackety, Blah blah blah. Won the GF. Called West Coast Eagles.

In answer to your 6 post question, our 6 pointers will be kicked by the same blokes who've kicked them in games already this year. We've been competitive in every game this year - which is why we have a good percentage. The idea is to kick more than your opponents on a given day. We'll be endeavouring to do that this weekend.

Lets see, just happen to have a bloke whos leading the AFL goalkicking right now, reckon he's in pretty good form, might kick a few. Could get that Hayden kid sending another message stick to Connolly asking for help.

West Coast 428 345 124.06

Fremantle 388 421 92.16

That also suggests to me we dont have a problem kicking goals, considering we currently sit 2nd in the AFL in terms of points for, with a rather healthy percentage. Your "star studded" forward line hasnt really produced considering the big score you kicked this week, in the 3 other games they havent really cut it have they? Plus they have to win the ball out of the midfield to get any chance of producing.

#2 forward line and #5 backline in the league. I think we're doing just fine at the moment. Dockers have #13 backline and #9 forward line despite your record score last rd.

Yeah, but we hadn't really had any of our forwards besides Medders and Farmer play the first round and only an underdone J. Lo was back for round 2. In round 3, it ****ed down with rain so last week was the only real good chance we got to kick a decent score.

Not that I like making excuses either, but the Eagles would have scored more goals against the Hawks in Tasmania if the moon hadn't been in Uranus.

If you'd played a game at Telstra Dome, the excuse would have been:
a) the roof was closed and we weren't used to it; or
b) the roof was open and the sun got in our eyes.

I asked a question, Who is going to kick your goals?
And you said Matera........
Anyone else?

So if it rains you don't get a decent score?

Such a shame football isn't a summer sport ;)

About 10 of this lot:
http://westcoasteagles.com.au/default.asp?pg=players&spg=browseall

It's not like we're Melbourne, in which case I could say "Neitz will kick 6 or we will lose" or the Swans "If BBB Hall doesn't get a hatful, we're in trouble". The idea is that we share it around. I think Chick will get at least 2 this weekend though.

Mind pointing out which statements show our lack of knowledge on Fremantle players?

I thought it was common knowledge you score less when it rains.
It may be, but kicking a decent score usually means you win. If, as you suggest, the dockers can't kick a decent score in the rain then they will not make the 8 unless El Nino has a big effect on the Australian climate. Maybe the Dockers are all for global warming;)

Dont forget the current Freo fav excuse "We're a young side"

Though I thought that was the vogue about 8 years ago, seems theyre recycling again ;)

These comments are just pathetic:

Chick would be fine on the flying tampon. As for the 3 leading
options they would be who?

croad - hack
clive - hacker
j lo - injured

Clive used all his energy against the Roos and will fall in a screaming heap on the weekend

Croad and leading in the same sentence just does't work

J Lo is a better dancer than she is a leader

Not this year it doesn't. Unless that waterbottle snuck through for a goal

I'm not the one wearing purple

Your point being what exactly?

So now that you have mastered the cut and paste function how about you contribute some of your own thoughts, or aren't you capable of original thought!

All those comments are no more pathetic than "Freo Forever"

Yeah "Freo Forever" is so pathetic isnt it "West Coast Stre"

My point was about how little "some" Eagles Fans know about Freo and our players.

I wasn't directing it at all of you.

Well then please tell me what that superstar former number 1 draft pick Clive Waterhouse and Trent "the next big thing for the last 4 years" Croad are capable of doing on their current form?? Not to much.

As for Longmuir, he is a fantastic talent, but looks very underdone through injury.

And these so called snippets, which when taken out of context mean diddly squat, were your way of pointing this out were they?

And why do we need to know a lot about your players?

Just a question, how many top 5 picks do Freo currently have on their list. They must have more than any other club.

Waterhouse (no 1)
Headland (no 1)
Pavlich
Longmuir
Croad
Brown
Haselby
Polak
Walker??
Simmonds??
McPharlin??
Bell??

Would probaly have more than any other team and they're stil lgoing no where ;)

Clive came back for his first game since Round 13 2001. I think he had an excellent comeback. He kicked 2 goals 1 point, assisted in a couple of goals and took 2 excellent marks.

Croad isn't being used as much for a forward target. He played all over the ground on Sunday, He had 11 kicks, 5 marks, 2 tackles, 12 possesions, he kicked 1.3 and he assisted in a couple of goals.

Longmuir kicked 3.3, he is starting to find some form.

I think all of these players are capable of good things on their current form.

And some I put up because they were just stupid.

Waterhouse is typical of Fremantle - they think he's got the goods, but boy he got nothing. You guys continually become satisfied with this guys performance as a top line performer week in week out since your mob had been around.

If you club had expectations he wouldn't have played 50 matches.

Croad peaked when he was 19. This guy is destined to be a part of football's merry go round.

Longmuir is always danger but still looks inhibited with what he can do at the moment.
