sprain of ligaments in the foot, the scan must have cleared him of Linsfranc (or they wouldnt have said no major injury) which is often misdiagnosed as a foot sprain (got this from google also)

By the vision, just landed badly and did the injury that way, and not related to anything else

Nah TD, they don’t guess.

It’s tactical. If they put out a report suggesting the worst, it ensures that they get a call from the club lickety split to set the record straight.

It’s their way of trying to get the story first. The club is clearly wise to it, which is why Peter Ryan (a club ally) ended up being the first to tweet the real story.
