2 months in the leadup to the GF/PF in 97 and 2017, could/can any Crows fan honestly predict a 5 goal Ellen or 5 goal Cameron was to occur? After one playing solely in defense half in the majority of the year, and the other one missing and spraying goals all over the place and never kicking 5 goals before as a forward? The similarities are there if you see it from the vantage point of lateral thinking.

Get excited, don't be a downer on GF day. And for what it's worth, I hope Cameron, Otten or any of our defenders kicks a bag of 5 and doing an "Ellen". Any of the forwards to kick 5 or 6 and doing a "Jarman".
