Deledio to half back

Makes sense to me and yes I know he was an all Australian spending time in the guts in 2012. I think he is the ultimate choice of the creative half back role.

Martin in the centre and forward of centre..

Would this be a bad situation? Makes sense to me

Modern great teams have players that can play in multiple positions, depending on opposition & team structures etc.
Lids can play back, mid & forward with telling effect.

I would rather he played in the middle more often then not with some stints off HB if we are struggling to get any drive from the back half.
But if I had to choose Lids or Martin on the HBF, Deledio thanks.

I prefer Lids played forward more with stints as an outside mid/wing and less time as an inside mid. He is also very good off half back and should be tried there if clubs try to limit his influence. He is amazingly dangerous in space and everything should be done to allow that to happen.

Keep him away from the HB line unless it is part of him rolling back as a midfielder to give coverage. As a HF/Midfielder he is capable of kicking 30-35 goals and averaging 25-30 disposals a game.

Brandon should move to half back so he gets more into the game. Deledio to roam across the ground where needed, Martin back to the midfield. I reckon Vlas and Ellis would make a good half back pair.

Deledio can play anywhere, I'd rotate him through all 3 roles as the game dictates. Martin however should be played in the guts or up forward, he is so wasted in the back half.

Really we need Dea/McIntosh/Batch or even Grimes to get consistency and make that position their own. I want Vlas in the middle and our stars in Martin and Lids playing mid/forward

Wing/Forward for me. Piss Grigg off until he chases. All well and good to have 30 touches but if you haven't seen your man all game let alone chased him then you ain't doing a good job.

Houli/Lennon should become our 2 half backs. Vlastuin until Lennon is ready. Then Vlastuin into the guts which pushes Lids out onto a wing.

I want 3 Brett Deledios. 1 at Half back, 1 in the middle and 1 up forward.
Down back he has lethal rebounding skills and everyone knows he's a good kick and decision maker. Can also take lots of intercept marks.
In the middle he can just grab the ball and run away from the crowd e.g. his 9 second goal from the middle.
Up forward he can take a mark and has excellent speed to run away from his opponent, also knows where the goals are. With a guy of his skill up forward coaches will be worried.
I would still like him to spend the majority of his minutes in the middle because that is where he thrives. Even though I would like him to play forward I think his skill at half back is irreplaceable.
If I were to choose Martin or Deledio up forward I would pick Martin as he has that brute strength, excellent marking ability and goal kicking ability. Hopefully Lennon develops quickly so he can be up forward to cause havoc so Deledio can spend more time in the midfield and switch between half back and half forward.

AND Cotchy... he's just a gem.

Nope

Lids and Dusty forward. We have heaps of half back options.

Dusty at half back at times in a match makes more sense than Lids for me tbh. He can't be dominating at half forward all the time!!
