Deledio is a more consistently good player. Griffen might have hit higher highs. Griffen has a great finals record, but Deledio has been Richmond's best player in our two recent finals.

Both the lads were drafted in'04. Possibility the Dogs were a less shit team early on scrapping into a prelim. But was Ryan really the best player back then in the side? Don't think so. Richmond have made final two years in a row and will probably be there about next year. Richmond are far from great, but when they get smashed, it is often the like of Deledio, Maric, Rance that are the few to stand up and show some balls.

I dont have the stats on hand but over the last decade i dont think overall the dogs are heaps better than the tigers. certainly the last 2-3-4 years richmond has been on the upswing, while the dogs fight for number one picks. And if indeed Richmond are shitter over the period of there carrers - i dont think this is any sort of advantage to Deledio ie. "hes ok in a crap team where are ryan is wonderful in a great team"

you really think griff was doggies best player in the early stages of his career? i find this hard to believe as franklin was getting the majority of the applause from the media. tambling was copping a flogging. williams was given a free ride. and deledio was winning the rising star in record fashion.

i would of thought one of the senior players have griffen covered at some stage 10 years ago... but then again you'd know better than me... griff might of been BOG in the final but over the course of his first 1-2-3-4 years was he footscray best player?

A lot of players got less of the ball than Boyd and Cross at that stage. Did this make Boyd and Cross the best in the league?

In 2013, with the Bulldogs in a modern day Richmond-like state, Griffen was a top five player in the league.

Anything Deledio does from now on, Griffen will have done before at a younger age. Unless Deledio beats the odds and gets a flag.
