The better man DID win :D

And with a career high 27 possies in the midfield last week I'd say he's only just started ;)

Could Deledio's development have been handled any worse? lol. On the rare occasion the Tiges don't stuff up a draft pick, their atrocious player development practises extinguish any residual hope. lol. :)

Murphy is (will) be a workhorse inside/link man - good 22 weeks a year similar to Sam Mitchell (not as inside) Scott West, Daniel Cross. Lacks pace and routine penetration in his kicks but makes up for it in running power, decision making and positioning around the ground.

FWIW I think that Masten shares 90% of that profile except he is much more natural inside a pack, Murphy changed his game style once he hit AFL level to be more effective and should be commended on it.

Deledio however is a totally outside utility of rare quality - 6'3, well built, great penetration in his kicks, lightning pace either on the lead, on the wing or from half back to run and carry the football and can play just about any position. His strength will be his veratiity but this won't be evident until Richmonds inside mids get stonger and become senior playerss.

He is a finisher in a team full of finishers which means he is near on useless when the inside mids are losing and he isn't getting clean ball outside which makes him look bad.

Put him in a team like Hawks, West Coast or Geelong who already have first class inside players and you would see a very different Deledio.

Lids is a game breaker, Murphy is a high quality workhorse

If we didn't already have Kerr/Masten/Ebert/Priddis/Butler who play a similar role (some better, some not as well) then I would be all over Murphy

Murphy would be an ok player if he had Bartel, Corey and Selwood next to him, Lids would be a superstar.

Andrew walker ....... not even in the top 20 of 2003 draft
and carlton picked him at #2 unbelievable couldnt get any worse

Code:
He's progressing nicely actually. Already the best of the 2003 draft. A future superstar. Watch. :)

9 minutes?

You actually managed to find 9 minutes of highlights for a Carlton player?

Never mind the actual club, how did you find 9 minutes of highlights for an individual Blues player?

At least we made a laughing stock of the Dons no-talent midfield. That was funny. :)

And you still lost.

You can have all the talent in the world, however nothing overrides hard work & desire. AFL players arent robots- try playing with a bit of heart and maybe you will get a win.
