Their is not a single thing that Dale Thomas does better then Brett Deledio on the footy field.

No doubt Deledio is and has been better then Thomas.

However, what cannot be denied is that Deledio has been disapointing. Just seems to be travelling, and other players from that draft, eg. Griffin, Franklin and Roughhead have all past him.

If I had a choice of those 4 players, Deledio would be the last I would choose.

thats just plain wrong griffin's 1 flashy run every 3rd or 4th game that gets put on the news report doesnt mean he has been better
deledio has been more consistent than roughy,griffin and franklin this year .. franklin gets so much hype, its unbelievable .. still in consistent and still struggles to kick straight .. i know he is leading the coleman, but with the supply he has had, he should already have 100 goals

What has he got that he can do that is actually better then Deledio other then do a few flashy things here and their.
If you are basing it on the fact he is young, Thomas is only 2 months younger then Deledio

Why can't he just be honest and say he simply likes Thomas better?

To say because he is still young (and what Deledio is not) and will improve is hilarious considering deledio is a staggering 66 days older.

Deledios constant improvement from his first season is plain to see, whilst Thomas has been around the same - although he applies fantastic pressure these days as shown by his increasing tackle count.

Is interesting to revisit this poll a few years on and see how much things have changed for both players. Deledio really hasn't delivered a great deal more than he was in 2008 yet Thomas has improved immensely. At the time it was clearly Deledio, Thomas has pulled ahead but I still feel that Deledio can improve on where he is now. He is definitely a natural footballer with very good skills but surely he can be delivering more than he is right now.

good post - i agree. Thomas has really come on, gut runs, does the hard things and is a game breaker. For mine he's elite - Lids is a class footballer who doesnt take himself to the red zone hence = very good player no more

Deledio still a very good player but Thomas has been the better footballer over the past few years. Still plenty of years ahead for both of them though to play great football.
