I bailed at the siren but I understand he won the award and rightly so! He is a genuine jet running through the midfield and is also hitting the scoreboard.

I just wish sometimes his teammates would use him even more! Nahas should of handballed so much earlier than he did when Lids was streaming into the 50.

Great game both offensively and defensively Lids keep up the AA work.

Still think Watson deserved the medal, but Deledio was BOG.
Doesn't make sense I know, but at least I know what I mean.

I always felt that if we stuffed up with him then as a club we were finished.

He was destined to be a star and it would be an embarrassment if he didn't turn out that way. Terry Wallace almost did the impossible. He didnt prosper under Wallace.

Our best player and would have killed us if he was lured elsewhere and we must use him in regards to having shots at goal.

Jobe Watson is a hell of a player though.

Boy I remember Jobe starting and thinking he was just getting a game through his name. He is a gun.

You are that right regarding that play....Nahas HAD to give it straight back to allow him to steady instead he held it and then handballed as a player was coming so Lids couldn't steady.

Maybe the massive squib display he put on when Rance was running full pelt at him with eyes on the ball and he just stood there was held against him.

Deledio laid 3 hard tackles in succession in the middle of the ground to force ball ups that were just brilliant. That 45 seconds underlined the improvement he has made and value he brings in the middle. We all know how great he is with the ball, but it was that side of his game that truly impressed me last night. Thoroughly deserved the medal. Anything else would have been ridiculous.

It would be line ball between Cotch and Lids for our best and fairest at the moment IMO. I think he's playing better footy then the years where he won the B&F. He's just so damaging in the midfield this year and finally playing to what he is truely capable of.

What a game he played, clear BOG, did everything.

Agree with the OP that our teammates should be looking for him more often at the 50m arc and sometimes I wish he was more selfish.

Still think Cotchin is our best player.
