How crap is this??

Thanks Hawthorn, You've just made up my mind about driving to Berrie.

Will stay in Adelaide and go watch a grass roots trial.

Its not really our fault.

Players injured or recovering from Surgery:

Lewis
Ladson
Osborne
Ellis
Bateman
Birchall
Hodge
Muston
Boyle
Franklin
Croad
Murphy
Gilham
Brown
Bailey

I can see why we'd leave out a few valuables considering the past couple of weeks we've had with injuries. Thats one hell of a list.

My comment about Moran back to the SANL was in relation to him learning FB if he was not in out best 22 in this 3rd defender/release player role he seems to be atm.

If he is dropped, he should spend that time playing FB.
Exactly, and atm I am pretty sure he isnt in our 22.

holy sh!te! looks like a past year's crows injury list. Well, I hope they all have a lengthy recovery. :D

Seriously though, the team would look nothing like that if this was the first round of season proper...not sure about how crows would look.

Wasn't it Wall-E's idea initially for Moran to spend some time in the SANFL?

Anyway, I am disappointed that Hawthorn are resorting on playing Box Hill players, would we be able to select SANFL players if need be?

It'll be good to see how Ed goes though, I guess thats one positive...

Just like that bloody movie, my idea, no credit :p

I don't think we'll be able to alter our team.

Best bet would be to pull the 3 most senior players.

Too right, good luck to Ed.

Only one Hawthorn Premiership player in this weeks hawks team, not good for the Hawks or even us.......

I am sure we will win however if we did lose then I will really start to worry, however if we win it will be very hard to access the game

This is a disgrace.

The Crows have agreed to this though. We must be desperate for a win.

be fair and reasonable on the club

what can the crows do about it, they are not our players we are not in a position to force the Hawks to play injured players, not to mention if the Hawks force player to play injured then the Hawthorn footy club will be exposed legally

So you'd prefer Hawthorn to forefit?

If we were in their situation and playing Donnelly and Henderson Hawthron would probably be greatful if we could call up some blokes like Massie etc from the SANFL

this is a AFL issue

I appreciate the Hawks have injuries and they are preparing Buddy and Hodge to play round 1, however I watched the hawks game last wee and their is no reason why Rioli, Mitchell, Sewell, Roughead, Williams shouldn't be playing this week

the hawks have obviously made a decision to rest any player in the best 22 that is not injured

Maybe the afl should of made them select fit players like Rioli, Mitchell, Sewell, Roughead and Williams instead of thw box hill players

I agree with Jars, it IS a disgrace.

Hawthorn do have a very long injury list. They may not even be able to field 26 fit AFL listed players. If that's the case, then fair enough, make up the difference with Box Hill players.

What I object to is them being allowed to "rest" uninjured AFL listed players, their positions taken by VFL listed players. They should be forced to select all uninjured AFL listed players first, then and only then should they be permitted to make up any shortfalls with Box Hill players.

Vader

As per my previous post, I think we all agree, however the Adelaide FC is powerless, the AFL needs to get involved and make the correct ruling

I feel sorry for the country folk

At least we will get a decent hit out against Sydney the following week

On another note, this is really good news for Sam Iles (and the other BHill players - just playing the devils advocate here) and the other non-AFL listed players. This may be the highest some ever get to play, and it'll be huge for them. A big game could stick in the minds of a recruiting manager who casts an eye over the match.

I'm also biased, Iles is a great bloke, and guys like him can make it at this level, they just need an extended chance.

Couldn't have said it better myself Vader :thumbsu: The last paragraph is spot on.
