From what ive heard Sellar is playing down back and is out playing Thorpe.

Can't really read anything into that at all.
Nice that he's winning the one on ones and creating a bit of run, but it's not as if Thorp would be getting any decent supply. Box Hill are being thumped in the middle.

Still, Sellar down back is a worthy experiment and it's better to hear he's doing well than poorly.

Adelaide 15.10 100
Hawthorn 5.3 33

Goals:
Adelaide: Hentschel 4, Walker 3, Knights 2, Tippett 2, Martin 1, Bock 1, Reilly 1, Cook 1
Hawthorn: Taylor 1, Morton 1, Illes 1, Kenna 1, Lowden 1

We got out of the match about the minimum possible. We didn't embarrass ourselves by losing to Box Hill. Beyond that, the opposition were so weak that there aren't any positives. Just a lack of negatives.

Martin giving it to the opposition constantly was a negative, and our goalkicking early was deplorable.

I think the performance of some of the younger players is a positive though. Opposition was definitely weak, but they were still mostly on Hawthorn's list. Just not from the A-team. We didn't have about 10 first 22 players either, so it was far from our full strength side. But yeah, it was pretty much the result we expected.
Walker and Petrenko performing well is pretty encouraging, considering they combine for zero games.
Nice to see Trent get through another game and kick a few goals. Every game he plays is a step forward.

Still, I agree, it was a less than ideal scenario to be playing against friggin Ed Curnow.

Good calls all round. I was definitely keen to avoid losing this one. The ribbing from my brother & father (both Hawthorn supporters) would have been unbearable.

The sad thing is that there's no point in ribbing them back, despite the lopsided scoreline.
