Pretty incompetent to implement a change that has pissed off a significant section of the supporter base, then fail to have the changes to the merchandise available in the lead up to Christmas.

The only thing people can say in favour of the two Steves is that the footy department under Harvey and Bond is doing well - two guys who were appointed by Schwab and Hart. And no one aside from Ripper has a nice thing to say about the previous admin.

Apparently the merchandise was to be made in Greymouth, New Zealand but there have been delays....

After the meeting was over I was talking to Steve Harris. I asked him when we could expect the new merchandise to be in the 2 Freo shops. He said, "Possibly the week before Christmas. If not, the week after Christmas." "Surely it would be a major marketing blunder if you don't get ANY pre-Christmas sales of the new stuff, considering that the re-branding was done months before Christmas?" I said. He just gave me a bit of a blank look and didn't answer the question.

You would think that a bloke who's the head of Perth's biggest advertising agency would be a bit more on the ball as far as basic marketing strategy is concerned. Particularly then it would be a fair assumption that the shop sales must be pretty stagnant at the moment.

Yes it is something you would think he would know but I can let you all know , after coming from the Freo shop , that they are being delivered into the stores tomorrow as in 3/12/10 .
Away jumpers have been there all along as they never sold out as was the case with the first batch of home jumpers.

Just the jumpers.
I asked about the scarf & cap package that we paid for at the time of our membership renewal & that wasn't happening for at least 2 weeks.
The Polo's etc were also a few weeks away.
