Another player we should have traded while he had some currency.
I remember when there was talk about him wanting to go to Port.

What's he worth now at the trade table? Nothing.

We need to do a hawthorn and take a risk or two while trading.
Let's no longer be afraid of trading players that have some value if we get well compensated

How could he miss Gibbs from about 15 metres away today? If you can't kick 15 metres accurately that is a sure sign you should not be playing AFL. He makes mistakes like these that the opposition scores off far to often.

Agreed, was hard at it and got some good clearances. Still needs to work on his disposal and chasing but I was happy with the way he played today.

At times today he just brainfarted and kicked a dribbly 8 metre pass to the opposition. At other times he looked a bit of a player. Quickish, team oriented and involved. Not a bad game.

I don't know how Carlton supporters can defend Russell and pay out Richard Tambling. Tambling is twice as good as Russell will ever be. Send him back to West Adelaide where he can play footy at his right level.

OK the missed pass to Gibbs was a shocker, but I think he did a fair bit of good today. He still needs to impose himself on a game, but today's contribution earns a "pass".

Russell doesn't get a lot of the ball so it should be important that he can do something off the ball which he doesn't. He always seems to be making leads at the same time as others drawing defenders to our free players rather than being a decoy and taking them away. He struggles with knowing when to time his runs.

I would love for him to come good. He is improving but only very very slowly, maybe too slowly.
