i keep hearing that he has pace but i never see him use it on the field. training watchers, is he quick at training or just lazy during games.

would prefer jackson in the side as it gives us a bit more flexibility. he could of been handy to go onto lovett when started to fire up. we didnt seem to have a genuine tagger in the side (was carrazzo tagging someone? or just have a quiet night?

You only ever have 1 good thing that he did to highlight, yet he racks up the filth that ruins our team. Russell made a mistake when he ignored Stevens and kicked poorly, but at least Russell had the confidence to have a shot and backed himself.

He cant hit a target with his right foot, what on earth would make him think he could kick a left foot snap under pressure?? He looks scared everytime he gets the ball and has no vision.

Time to bring someone in who can play, no consistantly hurt us

He is the perfect example of players we have that ruin the momentum of our better players, an example of the glaring weaknesses our team has, and why we lose games we could have won.

Near enough isn't good enough, but it's made more clear when you have rubbish like him on the list wasting opportunities and not playing accountable footy when the pressure is on.

He isnt the only reason but his definately a part of it!! Time for him to go, I' m sorry i've always said give him a go to show his worth but you've got to have more heart and guts then what he showed tonight.

You don't have to be talented to run, chase and tackle anybody can do that (just ask collingwood) he just needs to grow some balls! Wouldn't play him for the rest of the season...its time to see what armfield, browne, jackson, anderson and even ellard have to offer, at least they wont give up and have a decent crack!

Actually it is his fourth year. I think the poor kid has had enough. They should stick him in the twos for the rest of the year and help him work out what he will do after his career ends in 5 months.

my man armfield needs to be in the side next week, EVEN if he gets (or had) donut stats in the bullants game... at least his first and second efforts are better than the pansy of a player... aka Russell!

Yes he didn't impress tonight, but I'm sick of everyone bagging a Russell and overlooking the big names who should be doing more to justify their reputations.

Jackson isn't good enough and did nothing against Richmond.

Agree though their are others more experienced who need to extract their digit.

Bannister is a far far better player then Russell,in fact Bannister has played several great games,but never been consistent enough. I'm not sure if Russell has played 1 game in his 30 so games,that he was in the best.

He was given the job of minding Jason "never won a contested ball in my entire career" Gram last week on our half forward line, needless to say Gram run amok, oh and have a look at the game vs the Kangas up on the Gold Coast last year and the wonderful job he did on Brent Harvey........Others come to mind when he was being used in a negating role.
A tagger he certainly aint.

I was all for giving him an extra chance, but I think his time is up.

I can't see him becoming much more than a depth player, at this stage I would rather someone like Pfieffer, armfield, Anderson, Bentick etc given his spot.

IMO send him to the Bullants, IF he earns his recall I'm all for him trying to save his position in the 22 but atm he doesn't really impact on the game.
