Read wrong the first time. I rate Hurn top 3 in the comp for kicking and Wilson's kicking not that good!!! He may be the second best for HBF in our squad though. I really rate Schofield's kicking though.
Haha whoops. I'd blame being tired but it's only 8 here.

I don't see the same ability in Rodda.
Disagree strongly.

He is excellent at reading the flight of the ball and excels at body on body contact. It is why he out marks so many opponents.

He also has good pace and decent agility. Personally I think he is a little underrated, I also wouldn't be surprised if he gets taken before our first pick.

I reckon Schofield's kicking is better i don't rate butler's kicking as much as most. I think it is just neat and tidy and looks good with good decision making. A little bit like Gaff's.
Just because Butler can't kick 60m it means his kicking doesn't get the kudos it deserves.

In the top few at the club for me.

we'll have to agree to disagree on rodda i think. The only reason i think he excels at body on body at the moment is generally he has 15kg's of weight on his opponents and is taller than almost all of them as well. I think he has average game pace, maybe slightly above average for his size, average agility at best for his size (this is a stretch). I also think he could go before our first pick while at the same time i can also see him going in the rookie draft or not at all.

Can't see why we wouldn't keep him, has great upside. Hope they're done with the whole trying him out as a KPD thing though.
Are you talking about Wilson? When have they tried him as KPD? If you're talking Peel, they don't count because they use players wrongly a fair bit, mainly due to lack of quality players.

From an interest point of view, our picks make this a fun time. Almost anyone could drop to our picks. Kamdyn McIntosh has risen pretty quickly here on BigFooty, but could easily drop to us. Rodda and Simpson the same. Would anyone take McBean if available?

With Dean Cox getting old and Scott Lycett the only other ruck, do you guys fancy a ruckman with a late/rookie pick? I saw Mack Byron-Prendergast from East Fremantle was entering the draft. I don't know anything about him but I don't think you could go wrong with a name like that.

We also have this guy called Naitanui who occasionally plays as a ruck.

He is meant to be pretty good.

In all seriousness, I don't think we would pick up another ruck.

We have been grooming a couple of younger guys (McGovern and McInnes) into the forward/pinch hitting ruck position that Lynch used to play.

No idea if I'd take McBean or not. Just not convinced he's a KPD.

Yeh but you wouldn't want him carrying the entire ruck workload. I just figured with your lack of depth in that position, you might be sniffing around for another big man.

That, and I really want someone to draft Mack Byron-Prendergast..

Any particular reason apart from your fixation with the name?

Say it out loud and you might see why. I like Dean Towers for the same reason :thumbsu:

Upon examination though, I think you do need a ruck. Cox will retire within a few years, there's no guarantee Lycett will be able to step up and I don't think you have any other real ruck prospects. Cool names aside, I think it's a position you should look to improve, maybe you'll look to recruit one of those big black americans in the rookie draft.
