Say it out loud and you might see why. I like Dean Towers for the same reason :thumbsu:

Upon examination though, I think you do need a ruck. Cox will retire within a few years, there's no guarantee Lycett will be able to step up and I don't think you have any other real ruck prospects. Cool names aside, I think it's a position you should look to improve, maybe you'll look to recruit one of those big black americans in the rookie draft.
You're spot on.

I played Cricket with Jay Clark, he's from Geelong and moved to Perth to write for 'The West'. So I tend to believe him regarding the Cats and the Eagles/Dockers.

But I don't rate Cook from what I saw in the VFL....Just one of those pasty, lethargic looking sticks....Said to have a big tank, but he runs with zero intensity so never looks threatening. Can take a Staker style pluck over a pack on the odd occasion.

The same guy who picked us to take Morton?

I'd be inclined to believe him.
I paid out on him for his Morton article when it first came out but then it actually ended up be correct.

Heard he has attitude problems (from bigfooty), but is clearly talented. A move to WA without the pressures of being a first round pick and removing the melbourne spud tag might do him some good.

Really comes down to what WCE think of the draft

Cook has really nice hands, can take a strong pack mark.

Maybe we can turn him into a key back?

We might end up with Gaff, Cripps, Darling and Cook all from the 2010 draft.

Pretty hard to argue with that.

Melbourne could end up looking really bad out of all this or the Eagles may look like slow learners. It will be interesting to see what happens.
Interesting times ahead - I would love both to become solid AFL players - Melbourne's development of players over the last few years has been pretty poor.

We do seem to take on a lot of rejects lately. If this lot doesn't work out, you could assume that we might be a little more hesitant in the future.
