Which defenders did we have unavailable during the finals?

I honestly can't remember any to be honest. Could be wrong though.
Brennan started as Sub for the Elimination final.
Rosa went down in Rd 22 and missed both round 23 and the Elimination.
Waters went down in the Elimination and didn't play again.

Ah of course, how could I forget Waters.

Oh well, as I said before happy to amend my statement to best 25. ;) Can honestly see him being more than that this time next year though.

?

Why were you arguing against my point then? haha.

Sorry. That "bait" wasn't for you.

I don't think Woosha believes in a best 22, so why should we? My thread regarding Brennan didn't suggest as Masto is, that I thought Brennan should somehow walk into some sort of midfield role. What I think the match committee would have done with more fit players going this years finals, hasn't got a lot to do with me partitioning some ideas for the future.

Just because i don't think he would have played finals with a full squad of players, doesn't mean i don't like him. He's far better than I thought he was when we drafted him.
I stand by the argument that we never should have traded our third rounder in the 2010's draft. Alex Fasolo or Ledger would be more than handy depth.

Funny, I remember hearing the Cook -> West Coast talk quite a while ago. Interesting to see if it does happen. Would be pleased, but does it mean we'd have to delist another player to use #62?

If we don't need to lose someone of value I'd be happy to take a punt on Lucas cook.

The way i see it, he's an AA under 18 centre half forward and played for maybe the worst club at developing stars.

As an under 18 AA he'd have been taught invaluable footy knowledge in that system compared to someone else we might select with a pick in the 70s.

Big kids who've played as successful key forwards all through juniors often have a hard time competing in the afl esp when they aren't the big boy anymore.

With everything else that's going to be available at that pick I think it's a calculated risk and worth nabbing him

What do you mean?

I get that our best side isn't set in stone. There are probably 5-6 guys either side of the cut competing for those last few spots. But is that the same as "not believing" in a best 22?

If you asked Worsfold to pick his preferred team from a full list, do you reckon he'd be unable to do it?

Yep - I don't think it will be too hard to de-Melbournise Morton, he has the skill, just needs the work ethic. Like the bloods culture thing, it just washes over you.
Why are we talking about bloods culture? Its a myth just like the Shinboner Spirit. We should be talking about Woosha culture.
