I think GC & GWS will be looking for key forwards or backs more than anything as they have good mid stocks currently but are lacking reliable marking options and potency in attack.
GWS have Patton and Cameron, GC have Charlie Dixon and Sam Day

Their tall forward stocks are already pretty good.

If MM had have just played his old man for one more game we wouldn't have to trade for Rance.

I personally would see Rance as an upgrade on Brown but I'm not sure how many on here would. They might point to the Pies match where Rance was monstered by Cloke or how his kicking isn't flash despite finding it a fair bit. But Brown had more than a couple kicked on him on Friday night, dropped simple marks, and has the lowest kicks per minutes of games of all players last year (to have played more than about 6 games).

Get Rance in and teach him to handball to Hurn/Wilson/someone else and everything would be good.

I don't think he'd leave though. Why would anyone in the Tigers best 22 leave? Finals at Tiger land, would just be amazing.

Think you are spot on, purely defensively speaking i think he has brown, but his disposal and decision making seem to severely lack, where Mitch Brown is ok in those areas

Oh my bad, I just remember (as in heard it somewhere) him being dropped on 99
Murray rance played 97 games total. Because he played for footscray pre eagles under the hybrid father son rules we might have been able to get Alex as a father son if murray had got to 100 games I think. So maybe 3 short

Nah you still need someone to have played 100 games per club, not in total. So the ones that could come back and bite us in coming years are Paul Symmons (99) and Josh Wooden (96).

I would take Rance over Brown..but if Glass plays on there is a chance he might be in and out of the side next year like Brown.

This is the ideal setup:

Wilson Emac Glass
Waters Schoey Hurn

With Brennan/Smith/Bennell

Rance could just slide into Glass's position.

Warming to the idea of Garlett as our first rounder.

Then ideally a Marsh or Cripps could slide. ;)
I dunno, I'm not sure I agree with everyone that "Garlett is exactly what we need", no doubt we need a player like him but he wouldn't solve all our problems. I'm wondering if he could slide to our 2nd pick and we then can pick up a big bodied midfielder with our first pick, someone like Botempelli could be available at our first pick and he has a lot of upside.

So, we chased Harry Taylor, there was an article in the West about us getting Michael Johnson and now we're allegedly interested in Rance.

I predict Glass has signalled his intention to retire while Brown will probably leave.

I would happily do Brown for Rance but Richmond would want a fair bit more.
