That reminds me, I saw this earlier today:

SuperFooty (AFL)@superfooty 7h
RT @SamLandsberger Clubs are thinking Boyd, Aish, Kelly and Scharenberg the top four at this year's draft. Orders for 2-4 vary widely.

Suggests that we'll have a choice of all but one of Billings, Sheed, Bontempelli, Freeman...
Freeman looks interesting.

Billings sounds like a Steve Johnson clone. HFF who will develop into a mid / forward.

I'd take Billings every day of the week.

i want yarran. damn we will probably have to wait till his contract finishes next year then he will want to come back to wa. so we get him for free??
Nah, he wouldn't qualify for free agency so we'd still have to trade with Carlton for him.

If Billings is available and we take him we'd really want a strong on ball player later in the draft.

Billings would provide us with some much needed pace and skill though.

Could be a really useful sub early on, play that fast ground level half forward role similar to Cripps.

Strong physically? Jansen or Cripps?

Billings, Acres, Jansen. Problem solved! ;)

Over this talk of Scott Selwood for pick 2 bulldust .....twitter ? Where do they get their information from? Who is it? Honestly it's the biggest load of tripe ...Scott has two years to run on his current deal and we have had no indication from he or the club that he has any intention of leaving ! future captain of our club!! is it just because adam has retired that people think he cant be here on his own FFS!!!

FFS I hate this time of year...all it is is gossip, rumors and innuendo that have not a shred of truth to it
Leader yes, Captain no.

Kennedy should become our captain next season and beyond.

You got me. I'm terrible at reading things that aren't actually in existence. It's my secret shame.

1. You had it as a broken wrist, someone else said he fell through a glass table and severed a tendon, now it's a broken arm in a skating accident. In any case, how is it a red flag? Kids ride skateboards, and occasionally fall off.
2. Hangs out with a colts teammate, before said teammate was in any trouble.
3. One of our more knowledgable draft experts said fitness wasn't perceived to be an issue at the time.
4. We have no way of knowing how they went.
5. Where did you say that?
I thought flower eating was your secret shame?

I do like the sound of Billings, but we'd surely have to be confident in his ability to play through the middle to select him.
he is very classy, has pace and can win his own ball. Think he is a gem.

Think the biggest question marks on him is his endurance.

Regarding J.Jansen do we think he would be available at our 3rd pick? Think he has more upside then Cripps.

St Kilda would only consider the free agency move if the compensation it received was better then what it would land in a trade.
And hence the flaws of FA. IMO we should bin this compo and PP bullshit; no more compromised drafts
