Maybe all the Conca stuff was a ploy to drive his price up, leaving less room for Dusty :D

Whilst I wont hold my breath, he'd be right up there in players Id choose if I could pick any to come over.

I'm having second thoughts on Yarran. Hasn't really set the world on fire this year (from what I've seen), however that might change if he ends up being traded to us. I really hope he can get back to his 2012 form if he ends up coming over, that'd be brilliant.

Conca's hamstring better not be a sign of further injuries to come. Still haven't heard the full extent of the injury as of yet though.
I think you mean his 2011 form. His 2012 form was as bad if not worse than this year, just in a different role.

Take this one with a grain of salt, and i'm doubting it's true but..

2014 AFL Trade, Delisting and Recruitment Rumours
Multiple sources have provided mail that want-away Tiger Dustin Martin has been seen having dinner with Darren Glass, Trevor Nisbett and Scott Burns at an up market Subiaco restuarant. Speculation is rife regarding the young star's playing future and this only adds fuel to the fire that Martin wants out of Richmond as well as Victoria. Perhaps the infamous jailhouse gesture displayed by Dustin during their loss to Carlton was also symbolic of his decision to refuse a new contract at Tigerland?
That's Naitawhoeys page, go back a bit and he has Hurn leaving to play NFL

Sorry to bump this again but I'm keen to get Yeo to the club and by the sounds of things the club has inquired. The sticking point will be that Brisbane probably won't take anything less than a 2nd rounder for him.

The longer the Lions go without a coach the better for us and any team chasing home sick Lions at the moment
Sorry to intrude. Yeo is an absolute jet and will be a star of the comp in the next few years. Out of all the players that have been reported as wanting to leave, he'd be the one all supporters and the club would hate to lose the most. There is NO way we would take a second rounder for him. Would have to be a second rounder with a player thrown in or our second round pick and Yeo for your first pick.

we'd have to iron out his on-field attitude by the soundsof things, but what does everyone think of heath shaw? i would love to see him playing for us, maybe our second rounder plus smith? we need pace and he would be awesome running off half back or on the wing for us. i know it probably won't happen, but hey thought i'd throw it out there.

Isn't he out of contract? If he goes to the club and says "Sorry guys, I want a trade home" then Brisbane won't exactly be in a position to demand the earth.

Not keen. Hate his attitude out on the field. Always arguing with his team mates. Not to mention his off field antics

Yep, he is. If we don't get what we think is a fair offer fair him we would probably threaten him with the PSD where there is no guarantee he would get home. Plenty of clubs would snap him up before West Coast and Freo. In that case he would re-sign or force you to up your offer. We did the same with Freo and Mitch Clark and he ended up going to Melbourne.

If he went in the draft and his preference would be to get home, I dont think any club would pick him up before our 2nd round pick

I'd be surprised if we offered up pick 24 for him.

We will just (eventually) offer our top price (if it gets to the point where there are negotiations during the trade period) and then it will be up to Yeo and the Lions. I assume he'd be open to going to Freo, although they won't offer their first pick, but you'd think they'd definitely be happy to snap him up for their second rounder which the Lions would probably refuse. If a trade couldn't be organised then Yeo could then decide if he wanted to re-sign with the Lions or go into the draft. I think he'll re-sign with the Lions.

To be fair, he only ever seems to argue with Nick Maxwell... and it's probably Shaw saying something along the lines of "I can't believe a flog like you is picked every week, let alone gets to stay captain".

Clark ended up getting a better offer from Melbourne than he did from Freo and Brisbane traded him there. Not sure where the PSD comes into that.

I've said in another thread, can't recall where, that the PSD isn't the threat people seem to think it is. For a start, players have the option of going into the main draft now. In the last 5 years or more, players who have gone into either draft after being unable to get a trade have almost without exception ended up at the club of their choice. Look at Ball, Jacobs, Tippett, Houli, Anthony etc.

I reckon you guys are a prime destination for Heath Shaw. If I've understood your board correctly, a key concern for the Eagles this year was lack of foot speed and foot skills. Heater brings both in spades. Would also appreciate the room to move on the big Patterson Stadium surface.

Eagles should low-ball Pies with a 3rd rounder or something for Shaw. If they're motivated sellers, they'll take it - not least to send him *far* away. If they want more... tell 'em no. See how serious they are to move him.
