I totally got your point.

Sheed is a clear top 15 pick, probably top ten which puts him into calculations for pick six. There are a lot of inferior players being touted as better prospects on the basis of their upside. Add to that Sheed fits the bill of what we need, wins the hard ball, uses it well and is good on the spread.

He's in the three players i'd like with pick three. Alongside Billings and Acres.

you are kidding arent you? this sheed crap going on over last 5 months is pissing me off. he is closer to being one of those vanilla midfielders like stevens than someone you think he is, whoever that might be. so far, with all the descriptions that people have put up, at best he is a priddis. slow, cant kick, good with hands. now priddis is good player but lets not forget, never an all australian. not even close.

He was in the AA squad in 2011, so closer than over 600 players that season.. Sheed to me sounds like maybe more of what we already have, but I haven't seen him play much so I can't say. But I think you go for the best player at the pick, especially in the first round.

The comparison to Priddis is a mild one at best. The only real comparable feature is that they're both good inside and that they're both left footed.

The standout feature about Sheed is that while he's excellent at stoppages, he's equally adept at linking up well on the outside (including running hard to receive), and hurting oppositions with his left boot and his freakish decision making. As other people have said too, he would probably run a 2.95> 20m sprint. Priddis can't do anything of these things.

Ironically Matt Crouch is probably a closer player to Priddis than Sheed.
