Freo have some decent fringe players (Crozier, Sheridan etc) but they would maybe be more likely go home like Michie did than come across to us

Sinclair is worth more to us on our list than being traded for a 3rd round pick.

Not sure why we want to get rid of him? Naitanui is often injured so having that reserve ruckman will be important for depth.
As well as cover up forward if things go really badly.

I can't see us being too active in trade period personally. I think Simpson and the team are going to believe that this year was a transition year as the team learn a new gameplan and want to give players another year.

If things don't improve then we could see some big names offered up.

If we get similar output from Wellingham, Shuey, Selwood and Masten I wouldn't be against putting their names up for trade.
Although another year of shite will greatly lower their worth...
Plus you have to be careful putting peoples names up for trade when they are still under contract. If they feel they are not wanted when their contract expires they will nominate a club and then we get Eberted again. I am not sure how much secret planning goes on between list managers and what potential trades are possible but things seem to be leaked very often about trade whispers.

Still think we should squeeze Morabito and see if we can convince him to defect

Second. Could see us getting a pick 25-30 if another team is desperate.
What teams are that desperate for talls in this draft that they would trade their second rounder? I agree with Tesseract, the only way to get a second rounder for Sinclair would be to package up something else, perhaps a fourth?

What trade currency do you think Hill and A.Smith hold?

Hill and Smith could land us some used undies maybe.

It's fantastic if you can run that fast but utterly useless if you don't use it. Saw him jogging along the wing in the WA v VM match and I was saying to my son, if he motored to this player running past (because it was obvious that was who the ball was going to) he could stop him. Instead he jogs along and then motors once the player has the ball. Wow, he's fast, said my son. Fat lot of good it did him though because he let the player get too far ahead of him, was my response.
You are father of the year.

Every club in the AFL needs a Dangerfield. If he's genuinely available, you'd throw lots and lots at him and Adelaide to get him ...

That said, can't see what we could offer that Adelaide can't ... But you'd have to try

Swannies' son is going to have a great footy brain after all that quality teaching.
Swannies son will definitely not shirk the contest. He'd be far more scared of the response from Dad if he pulled out than any pain that may arise from contact :p

I'm pretty sure he won't get a Masten haircut either :p

Well there is one big perk we can offer him, not living in ******* Adelaide for starters

Smith & Hill would have no currency whatsoever. Both have been in the system a while & not been able to establish themselves.

Hill has more talent but it is unlikely a 3rd club would come in for him.

Go and make a list of players picked in the first 15 picks for the past 10 years and have a look at the duds who never made any impact at all. Masten at least has the tools to be a B+ mid who you could expect to get 100+ games out of bar injury. Today's game is all about endurance and run. He hasn't got bad skills just not elite skills and he's still young.

Who would pay that? A team who is close but needs more midfielders.

Can't see us trading Masten in any case and if we did it would be in a player swap of some sort.
Fine but you go an make a list of average midfielders who have been traded for first round picks.
